Honestly Microsoft killed it with the collaboration 360s. I have a MW3 Xbox 360 and a halo 3 and 4 Xbox 360. They are ALL awesome. In 2023 I’d say they are worth it. Just be careful because 2025 it as far as the date goes. So after that who knows what will happen.

Ah yes "boom boom, smoke" and getting a new one (that happened to me when i was a lil kid, and we replaced it with a used one, i assume the old one was aftermarket cuz we got that xbox from a thrift store or whatever)

i recently got my 2nd 360 Slim (Halo Reach Edition) with the oem Halo Reach Controller on December 23 2022 my other slim has rgh3 and its not working as it should so i bought the halo reach one and i might end up sending it in for rgh service in 2023!

I remember waking up early in the morning in the summer..Just to go downstairs, grab the controller, and hold down the button until it blinked green and turned on the Xbox. Then id play GTA 5, bo2 for the rest of the day. 😭

@@TheTrueSigmerNot long enough to say the least. I would reccomend everyone with their 360 with factory thermal paste to replace it. It's a bit tricky for most to get into the console but swapping it is easy! I just did mine yesterday as well as rgh3'd it

I think the scary part for me was realizing how outdated the stuff is. Like some of my controllers don’t even turn on anymore with fresh batteries, not even sure if the connect microphone works anymore, and Can barely use Xbox live on the thing anymore. The only way it feels accessible in anyway is if your accessing it through Xbox series x backwards compatibility and running your menu and games that way this way you have the old 360 menu and old live features. It’s very interesting

Well obviously, you won’t find a brand new Xbox 360 in 2024 unless someone has had one in storage for years, just buy a Xbox 360 slim, it will last longer then your series x, don’t go off reviews, that’s one thing you should always avoid

It’d say the Xbox 360 is still worth it in 2023 if you want to play your games that aren’t backwards compatible that you can’t get a remaster of, or there isn’t one available. Like I wanted to play Minecraft Story Mode Season 1 and 2 on my 360 since it’s hard to get for a good price on the Xbox One because it was discontinued. So it’s a good thing I kept it around for 7 years. Also, I just wanted some nostalgia and getting my Gamerscore back, since I wasn’t able to sign into my old account on my Series X, so I had to use my Alt. So I could play games i’ve already played as remakes or remastered, like OG Skyrim, and Halo 4 and ODST, and others. Since the Xbox 360 store is going down soon as well, i’d recommend buying whatever you want up there before May or June 2024 (I think that was the date). I’m hoping to get Minecraft Xbox 360 on it next time I get a gift card on my account, so I can go back to my childhood memories.

I got my 360, and it has still worked fine since 2012. I played OG xbox games, too. The only problem is that the dvd tray sometimes makes extrange noises and won't read the disc, or sometimes when I eject the game, it is still spinning on the dvd tray.
