Decided to film some POV street photography downtown today. I shot with my Sony a7s ii to see how it performed when it came to photography. I will be making more of these videos if you guys enjoy them, just let me know your thoughts on the series! All feedback is welcome.

If you’re looking for a photography camera, the a7Rii is what you want. It’s the same body as this camera, the a7Sii, but it has 42mp, as opposed to the S’s 12mp. Way higher quality of an image.

What are your typical settings usually? I have the same setup and completely struggle to get good crispy tones and color like this. They all look like shit. The lens is so freaking slow to acquire focus even on the newest firmware.

What was your iso, shutter speed, and Aperture set on?

Mainly I try to stay around 1/125. F depends on the image but 2.8 for closer subjects or when I want depth, higher for farther subjects and landscapes. Auto ISO is good for getting the shot without fiddling with settings.

It’s good, not great. Has 12.2mp. I use the A7RII for my photography. If you’re only posting to instagram or doing small prints, it’s alright but for professional photography work i’d buy the RII

How's the autofocus speed for stills? I've heard bad things but that seems to always be in context to video

Some people’s opinions will vary, because many compare older tech to the new hot release. In my opinion the autofocus is plenty good for what i use it for. I have an Rii and sure that’s better, but the Sii autofocus is quick enough for street.
