POV with High MYOPIA [-11.0 and Astigmatism] 👓 

Well, it not as simple. I didn't wear glasses for until -5, when it just become very hard to leave normal life without glasses. So not wearing glasses alone won't help

@@Nekoandpianohello it very late but i want to ask how long u get used to first glasses when have -5 myopia. My eyes is -5 too i got my first glasses few day ago and everything look curved is it normal?

@@Code-zq5yo hello! When they told me that i have -5 i was advised by optometrist to start from -3 glasses, cause -5 would be hard to adapt. So i was wearing -3 for three month, then - 4 and then -5 full correction. So took me sometime and helped to adapt a bit. But yes, you do have some roundish effects if you really think of it. But it's not bother you all that much after sometime.

@@Code-zq5yo if look at corner of lense and really think about It you may find curved lines. But it's not bother me in normal life at all now.

i am 19 and i have same SPH like you but my CYL is lower. soon i will enter college majoring in computer engineering. i hope my eyes can return to normal or atleast not getting worse.

Hey there! In the video editor software, I apply a Gaussian blur to the footage to match the blurness I see without my glasses. So in a way, it's almost like what I see. The only tricky thing is, i also have astigmatism so it's hard to simulate that, almost like bokeh flares at night.

@@KevsWorld this is really cool, i got checked again because i'm doing lasik thursday and i'm -10,-10.5 and -.3.5,-3.75 astigmatism, i would love to have a video or a few pictures or both of how i see now. would you be open to editing some for me? happy to pay you for your time.

Hi there! For me the only option is ICL, however the opthalmologist mentioned that it might cause early cataract, as well as it does not actually stop my myopia from progressing. For example if my current myopia is -11, and with the ICL it looks like 0. But if my myopia increases to -13 then my eyesight with ICL will become -2 also. I will still have to wear glasses even with ICL if my myopia increases. For now I am not sure if I will do ICL, maybe if my myopia completely stabilises. LASIK is not possible for me.

Hey there! At night, I see light flares into a large circle, not really a starburst. Kinda like bokeh lights. Everything becomes bokeh. This is due to the astigmatism part.

Hey there! My eyes were also like yours! Astigmatism was also around -4.5 and myopia -11.25 ...so I would say you are not alone!

@TopMovieClipsHINDI i didn’t not have astigmatism before it appeared suddenly and i always get out without wearing glasses or lenses. But i still having problems vision and no i don’t ghost effect but i remember after 3 months i tried to wear glasses and i thought i was not living and i was in the other deep world

Yes bro there is more chances of retinal detachment, macular degenration, etc. But hey dont get depressed just visit ur doctor and do eye health check up.

Hey there! I agree with the first reply. Do see a eye specialist for your eye condition. From what I know...myopia itself doesn't cause glaucoma. Glaucoma is actually a separate issue, and is usually hereditary. I've been wearing glasses since I was 2 and it's totally fine!

Good news is that myopia is very unlikely to lead to blindness in most cases, however at higher prescriptions (approximately -10 and above) there is a risk of retinal detachment in which since myopia causes the eyes to elongate, at about -10D (SPH) or higher there is a chance that the eye will become long enough for the retina to detach which can lead to blindness however it’s only about 5% of high myopia people who experience this so it’s not likely but it is something to be investigated. As your prescription increases there is a increased risk of retinal detachment correspondingly, however I wouldn’t worry about it too much other then to consult your eye doctor to perform the necessary diagnoses to evaluate your course of action before and in the event that it occurs. This is also true for glaucoma, in the fact that as your myopia progresses there is a corresponding increase in risk for glaucoma although I’ll be the first to tell you that while the risk does exist, it’s generally not a major factor for the onset of glaucoma as it is typically caused by conventional means.

Hey there, yea I also wear my glasses first then brush my teeth, then only change to contact lenses and wear it throughout the day. However, I recently just broke my contact lenses so now I have to only wear my glasses. Not sure when I will get it replaced.

Hey there, I can drive at night with my glasses on, since it has the myopia lenses and astigmatism also. Without my glasses....absolutely not possible at all. Nope, I haven't tried overnight contacts, I use RGP lenses to control my myopia....it's been 10 years that I have been using RGP lenses.

yeah it is real, I'm -8.00 on my right eye and -7.5 on my left and this is something really similar to what I see, but if I hold something really close to my eyes like a book, I can actually see it without glasses

Yep! Severe myopia is definetly real, Im -9.00 and can barely see without glasses.
