No the NG+ update wasn't broken, there were small bugs ig but I haven't encountered any myself and a few bugs isn't a broken game. Although I am very confused as to why and how they didn't patch this bug yet since it's a pretty big one and they've usually always came in clutch to patch something on the dot

As someone who actually knows someone who works in game development, apparently this is a win that the cascade of the code change only affected something minor like this. For real, coding is basically just an ongoing series of ‘okay, found the problem. Wait, fixing the problem caused a reaction change that created a new problem. Now I gotta find the new problem.’
Im not a trained coder but i agree. One time i tried to recreate pacman from copying those ASMR coding videos and broke the entire thing once i added the ghosts
