Vietnamese bread is very different from your typical bread. Its very light and airy, so you really get to experience the contents of the sandwich much better!
Every now and then I will get a restaurant that will take a shortcut by using Italian rolls. Absolutely disappointing. I can only assume that they don’t think that most of their customers would know the difference here in the suburbs.

We used to have some great, affordable middle-eastern fast foods here in Sweden. But now it's just become ridiculous, I want to enjoy my crispy falafels with garlic sauce for 25 kronor and not feel guilty about it. Now they go for something closer to 75-100 kronor. And don't get me started on the foods that already cost that much before the inflation, yikes is all I can say.

Not saying from hate or anything just want to give you a realistic view. This is the most famous bánh mì place in SG ( prob in Vietnam as well) which means they have all kind of fillings whereas most of bánh mì place are from street vendors. Sometimes their bánh mì have less generous amount of meat and and seems boring. But overall bánh mì tastes great no matter what you put inside
