Remember my grandpa saying to me: "be always nice to people working or offering you a service, thanks to them your life is more easy on a daily basis" mad respect for those people
I can proudly say that I treat my local subway people with respect but man I couldn’t imagine doing this outside of school for like $16/hr trying to save for a car or apartment
Having worked in restaurants for eight years, I can only give massive kudos to this guy - friendly, accurate, and well paced, a role model in this industry. Still, I can't get over the fact that Subway uses those plastic gloves, they're proper shit. Nitrile gloves are so much easier to work with, altough more expensive
@@phoenixero8161 the customer service is usually rude and they expect you to know everything they have in offer. if you are not sure what exactly you want or you ask them what options they have, they get upset.
@@DoodleDoo I kinda have the same because I always have choice stress with things. But most subways have like those screens now where you can order at your own pace, so I never really needed to deal with the ordering at the employees. Maybe there's a subway that has that close to you too? 😊
really pisses me off that some customers can be fucking rude when i go to subway for my lunch i always appriciate them for there hardwork and professionalism and sometimes give them tips this looks super hard mad respect ♡
Yeah it also annoys me as well when people are being rude to employees they need to be positive and be nice to them being negative is bad I don't like rude customers and when I work I hope nobody doesn't be rude to me when I'm just trying to do my job
So much respect for this guy putting good efficient work in for the camera. I hope that place keeps its employees in a good mood so they can always feel good doing work as good as this.
as a subway worker, working here is not as fun and relaxing as milad makes it seem to be.. it can actually become really stressful as there are many things to get done and costumers arent so nice either 😭 update: i quit as of last week.
@@KingRaiders Yeah if I'm ever at a subway or a place where they make the food in front of you, I always try to act like I'm looking at something else. I worked at a speedway and similarly to subway they can watch you make their food and at least for me it's so awkward. This one time this guy ordered triple nacho cheese for his sub, like the liquid cheese. It was literally just a pool of liquid on this dudes bread and it was getting everywhere, a nightmare lol
This guy is really good at his job. Efficient, fast, great at multi-tasking. I'm used to employees using the knife to help fold sandwiches, so it's kinda weird to see him to it with his hands, but it seems to work for him.
I've worked at subway since August last year and today I found out that we're not supposed to fold the subs with a knife and I don't get it Sometimes you just need to hgvbdvgff
bro i know this comment is old but like bro. i work here and that cheese is the worst part of the job after mean customers. like the customer is staring at you watching you fail at trying to peel apart cheese and the pressure rises and then it just gets harder and lemme tell you it SUCKS
@@tatum6031 hahaha, same same, it's the cheddar for me, our mozzarella is shreded here, but the goddamn cheddar, depending on batches, is way too complicated to peel our white cheese, is triangle shaped and there's a bit of a lip every two slices so it's easy to peel them :)
I’m just starting to realise how hard these guys work as well, it’s amazing how we think it’s easy, respect to this guy and everyone like him. Edit: damn I’m famous. Thanks for all the replies guys and I really appreciate all ur comments.
Fast food workers are some of the most underpaid, and disrespected people in the working force imo Edit: (Add-on) it's always a red flag to me personally if someone speaks I'll of food handlers or is even ignorant to the fact of their hard work
Imagine how it is for workers at fast food restaurants like burger king and mcdonalds. At subway there's no drive, no delivery, only as many orders at a time as workers, and the food is made directly as the guest orders it immediately, instead of checking from a screen and puzzling together about 10 orders at the same time
props to people who can actually tolerate cash register\prep. My first "real" temp job was last summer as a delivery driver for domino's, man i was glad i had nice coworkers who could work with people and a good manager who understood that not all people are good enough working with customers. I can tolerate driving and delivering the orders but actually cooking something for other people and taking their orders - i had to handle the cash register once and i was sweating crazy and could barely talk but it went okay-ish, the client was satisfied. Long story short good job man, im glad there are people like you out there. I'd rather be delivering orders on time and talk as little as possible heh
I started working at McDonald's abt a month ago and I've recently started doing front counter register and calling out numbers. It was really stressful at start but as I got practice during my shifts I got better also calling out order numbers loudly made my voice louder loll
working at dominos was hell for me. usually i’m not too introverted, but my social anxiety there skyrocketed. i usually made the food, but sometimes my managers made me answer phones and work the front counter. most customers were so so rude and got mad when i took too long to count their money. and the creepy men that would stare me down behind the counter didn’t help much either
When i worked at domino’s for a summer job, i got lucky and never had to talk at the register. But the heat there was extreme, the hot air just pumped out of the gigantic oven in the middle of the restaurant, right behind me as i made the pizza’s. The job itself wasn’t to hard just very hot and i couldn’t remember the recipes for some pizza’s and such which i asked alot wheither or not i did it right. Everyone else worked with bare hands yet i worked with gloves and even washed the gloves at first for extra precautions. i got blamed for a bunch of pizza’s that were made wrong, yes some where my fault (around 6 pizza’s in total in my entire stay there) But there were some more that weren’t my fault but the manager stared at me as if i did it, and even started talking more harsh to me. Then a new guy joined in and made some pizza’s wrong aswell but i got blamed for them too. I worked for 3 weeks but i worked almost every day. Perfectly on time. In total i got paid around 82/86 euro’s. if i use a random euro to dollar ratio website and put in 86 euro’s it says i earned around 92 dollars. THREE WEEKS!
Man my first job was being a cashier. I've always been an introverted guy who talks not very loud and i hated when i had to cover a position and being a shop assistant because i never liked talking to customers that much. Nowadays i work as a shop assistant and even tho i have to give my best to not being that introverted guy, i think getting out of my comfort zone has changed my percepction on social interactions. I think that's what we all have to do as introverted people, get out of our comfort zone!
What a pro you are! I like the washing knives at end, you are always looking for the proper sanitary way I appreciate to see! Thanks for your patient work!
@dxo1 not true, fast food people are normal people like anyone with any job, they try to make the best of what they have, living in the moment and just trynna work with everything. Worked with over 100 fast food employees and 2 of them had that sorta attitude
@@agarion101 yeah most people are just trying get through their day most of the time I'm nice but if on one day I'm not that doesn't mean that I'm mean to other people. Every person is no different from me or anybody else we're all just trying to live our lives.
Whenever I go to my local Subway (which is every so often) there tends to be a *new girl*. They're roughly the same age as me; which is young. I can see that they're trying to get it done fast but really making the effort to make it look good too. Not everyone is like that, so I really appreciate that and I even like to let them know time to time. It makes me smile when just a little compliment can put a smile on their face too :)
I worked at Subway one day. Yes, one day. During my first shift they sent me to another store and asked me to lead them. I was 20 and an idiot. After listening to the life stories from the other folks as customers slowed down, I decided this was going to be my first and last day and that I needed to straighten up.
I'm so stressed out while I'm just watching it, how does it feel to be there in real life and offering this service? Y'all are making our life easier, thank you all.
Imagine you have several online orders from 4 different delivery services, 3 in-persons that all need to be topped, wrapped, bagged, and handed out, your hands are too sweaty to get the gloves on easily and youve been standing for 5 hours already
I also work at Subway. Everything he did here was barely the tip of the iceberg of what goes on behind the counter at our stores. Respect to you brother, and respect and shoutout to all food service workers 🤟🏾
Yeah man McDonald's was my first job when I was 15. It was really easy. I ended up being a team leader and knowing every station. But then again this was back in 2002 before you all turned into a bunch of pansey fruitcakes.
this vid just makes me realise that other people are kinda rude when ordering food lmao. if I ordered anything without saying please I would be horrified at myself for weeks
As a former worker at subway as well as other shops like it, it’s better if you use fewer words to order so we don’t get slowed down. A friendly tone is enough, when you say please after every ingredient the line behind you builds. Of course, if there’s no line then the p’s and q’s are great. Also this work is hard work but it’s also mindless. As long as you remember none of it fucking matters and don’t stress, it’s actually really simple. Unless your manager understaffs and you have stay late to do prep / clean.😊
I worked at subway in my early 20s and there were so many times I was left alone and had like 10 customers in store and 6-8 cars in the drive thru, on top of having catering platters to get done before lunch time. On sub day, 5 of us stayed until 2am cleaning (literally every single piece of dishes that could be used was used) and prepping the store for the next day. Wild times. I don't think subway as a franchise is nearly as busy or "in demand" anymore, could be wrong though. I always remember those hard days whenever I go to any fast food place. It isn't always as easy as boomers try to claim it is.
yup times have definitely changed or maybe its just your location but the subway I worked at was a lot more chill. Also I don’t think I’ve ever seen a subway with a drive through before lol
@@ragedkill2897My early 20s was only about 6 years ago, lemme make that clear, I'm not like 40 or something haha 😅 I'd floated to at least 4 other subways in my area and they definitely weren't as busy as my home store that's for sure lol. But every time I pass by it now, it looks extremely dead. Every subway seems that way now, at least from the outside.
Its also not as hard as it looks. When making sandwiches you can flow state very easily. So after you learn how to place all the ingredients properly your job starts to feel more like speaking to costumers, and dealing with the rare problems, and less like making sandwiches.
@@GuitarGirl4ever It's just a false felling, i also feel like that when i see a Subway, normally It's full inside, but it just looks dead from outside.
I had subway yesterday, and the lady serving us was working like- REALLY fast! I’m thankful to have these people working so hard, and impressed by how good they are at multitasking lol
Hi I got a quick question when it comes to the bacon part let’s say it come with but they want extras do u put 4 or 2 more than press extra bacon Botton? This part confuses me

A fellow sandwich artist I presume..? Lmao, quick question my manager used to get annoyed with me zig zagging the sauce on the meats bc "it's supposed to be straight lines" is that just a my subway thing or is it an every subway thing? Just dumb cuz my sauce game was ALWAYS on point so 🖕🏼 her stupid straight lines lol
@@amoistyplow it's taught to be straight lines in Subway U, I call that the Milard dressings method (ik it's Milad). But yeah some Subways are more strict than others
meanwhile at my local Subway.. the person in front of me is like “yeah extra pickles, no that’s too many take some off, okay maybe a few more pickles, and uhhhhhhh… maybe tomatoes.. uhhhhh nah never mind i don’t want tomatoes…”etc etc 😂😂
Its refreshing to see the POV of a subway worker. Its like a game set up that you work fast and accurately so that the customer will not run out of patience. I appreciate all the efforts.
As a subway worker, I try my best to get everything right mostly, not on how fast the sandwich is made because I try to connect with the customer to make sure they’re happy and if there’s a line I tend to get overwhelmed but I always say “I’ll be right with you, after I ring them up I’ll get to you.” Stuff like that and patience is just a blessing at that time
@@apredoxsometing7463 subway is everywhere but the quality and the type of food they offer vary. In india the quality of the food is CRAP THEY OFFERED ME SPOILT FOOD 3 TIMES
I’m working in a bagel shop in Korea and I actually thought that the recipe was quite complicated and hard, but then I watched this video and found out that it was nothing. I would never be able to work at subway.

Subway Jobs in the Vid: 1. Ask Customer what sandwich and what they want 2. Listen carefully to the customer 3. Make the sandwich accordingly 4.Simultaneously keep status check with your other worker 5. Don't drop the sandwich from the tray if customer wants toasted bread 6. Make sure you cut the sandwich and not drop one of the cutting tools so you can arrange them 7. Carry the sandwich quickly to the wrapping station to be wrapped. 8. Make sure you don't confuse the order from which customer if there's more than one asked 9. Have most of this down delivered efficiently as possible
As someone who works at subway, that’s just the beginning of it, it’s also constantly keeping all the food, and fridges full, and bread, and sauces, and half the time running in between veggies and register cuz your understaffed, and that’s just what you do while making sandwiches😭😭 that’s the easier part of the job
@@mattheartfollower4123 subway is way better then any other fast food place to work at, mine has no drive through and yes you have to make sandwiches but you are never cooking, I see a lot of overall comments putting subway workers and I wonder if they have never worked minimum wage before😭😭 all minimum wage job sucks, and yes I have applied here and there but my subway pays good enough and I’m in a higher position so why leave it?
I also work in a subway but in Germany. It’s nice to read that so many people in the comments realize how demanding this type of work is, even if it seems easy to the most customers. Iam always very happy to serv for kind and pleasent visitors who appreciate my efforts for a good Sandwich. Many Customers are impatient and disrespectful but those who aren't make my working time great. Thanks to all patient and kind customers you are the best 👍😘

I work at subway and I can confirm that this is the way that people act when they are working at subway. There are a lot of customers out there that don’t realize that people like me are put through so much stress with subway but I enjoy my job it’s amazing.
Millard: the sub won’t burn, you can leave it in for 2 minutes and it won’t burn. Also Millard: there has been many times I’ve gone in the back and left a sub in the toaster then had to make them a new sub.

the efficientcy is in this guy is so goood it rembember me when i helped in the family restaurant for a year and i had to work has waiter, cashier, barista, pizza master guy, etc at the same time. Just one mistake or not being faster enough and was hell. Props to you
Just want to say Milad I really enjoy your videos from the stories to seeing you make sandwichs. In fact, you have made me some times wish I had a job at Subway.
Mad respect, helping ppl in any type of way is never easy especially with food. As a long time fan of subway, when most others prefer jimmy johns and other sub shops, Ill always go back to the O.G. Of sub shops, Subway, Eat Fresh, also Quiznos is severely underrated. Making me want both subway and the Quiz!
I always felt bad for subway workers. Like whenever I order there, I don’t know where to look 😂 because I don’t want to stare at the worker making my sandwich to make them think I’m like a crazy customer waiting for them to mess up. But I also don’t want to be out of focus by looking elsewhere in case they need to get my attention to ask something. Luckily my order is super simple with four ingredients and no fuss, but man, I can feel the pressure from other side of the counter.
Just got done yesterday with my first introduction to the job. I can 100% agree with everything here. I'm sure most of this stuff comes naturally with enough practice. Hopefully I can get the job later on too.
