I'm tired of these new buys every week, just to make up some assets with low percentage on my $236k portfolio and try to keep everything around 10%. Do you think these stocks you just mentioned are safe buys to outperform the market this year?

For me. I would avoid the index funds, mutual funds, or specific stocks for the time being. The 5% fixed incomes are the safest bet for now. Save your cash for when the market actually shows sign of recovery. Or hire a good market strategist

Right, a lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their emotions, no offense. During the covid-outbreak, I needed a good boost to stay afloat, hence researched for advisors and thankfully came across one with grit. As of today, my cash reserve has yielded from $350k to nearly $1m.

Kinda of but it’s not all on him there are a few reasons why housing is bad now one is the fed increase interest rates to decrease inflation in 2022 and now that they have talked it seems like they will decrease it starting in June or July so hold on the other is that there isn’t enough supply to meet demand sending the price up in the air and the last reason is that major companies and conglomerates are buying houses to rent so they can money off it so those are the reasons. But it is not expected to stay like this

Here in Hawaii food price feels like never stopped going up and up, it seems like 6% more than said 2.4 % ⁉️ my weekly grocery bills went up from $50 to $80 60% increase

My daughter got a job and relocated, buying a house at highest rate in August 2023, and lost job 3 months later! Now she has used up saving, we are supporting her out of retirement budget. Tough time. Waiting for the rate to come down so she can sell the house.

so he said in 2021 supply was not there and in 2022 he didn't think inflation was transitory and in 2023 he saw supply take off.....well then why do we still have inflation all the way in 2024 with higher rates through a supply boom?!?

The FED is stringing people along at this point anybody that thinks we’re getting three cuts when we might just get only one if we get it. Our economy is doing better. If it remains that way throughout the year, we will see no cuts.

We can start by stop using these stupid sanctions that have been the US government’s playbook for decades for countries they are trying to hurt. Those countries are now starting to use alternatives to the US dollar to transact in. Once the petrodollar (US) loses its position of the world reserve currency we are screwed as a country and we have no one else to blame other than our very own leaders, along with the idiot majority of voters that voted them in. The true majority of this country doesn’t vote at all and it is only a small minority that actually determines elections. So we have a minority bringing the country down just like we have a minority that controls vast majority of this country’s wealth.
