Here we try to show, that despite what you believe, power amp distortion is not as big of a factor in the sound of the amp as you think it is. At the level that you would normally play an amp, the power amp distortion would be minimal. All this means that the preamp plays the largest role in the grand scheme of things. This does not mean that the preamp is the sole contributor, but simply that the power amp section is the least of your worries. We will need another video to truly expose this, but for now, let's focus on what the power amp distortion, or isn't, in a decent spread of amp types.
