Really interesting concepts! I agree that more screens are better haha! With the index function, does that work in a similar way to the filter function?

I would say it is similar to the LookUp function because it returns the single record that matches your criteria.

Press Windows Key + V and it will enable clipboard history. Then it will always be on and you can use it. Pretty awesome tool. I should make a short for that one. :)

@@ShanesCows No, but I've seen it now 😄. I'm going to watch the IfError video next. I was thinking of the error fields that show up as zero height in the gallery control, with default value of Parent.Error. Also, if you had any particular tips around making sure the users enter the correct values e.g only positive numbers, or a date.

I believe that the CoE toolkit can do that but I have never checked that exact requirement so not positive.

Shane, Im trying to do a similar thing but when I choose multiple dropdowns in a specific order it shows an image, say dog, bird, goat = one image alternatively dog, cat, ram = a different image. Ill be taking your course on your site but want to get this thing done lol. Do you have any recommendations.

What you are describing is you would have an If for your image and then you would need to have all of the patterns. Or maybe you include the image with the table that makes up the last dropdown. I've had issues with items not visible sometimes preventing clicking on other, visible items. Personally I like setting the x value to a negative. Do you experience the same issue, or is that just me doing something wrong?

I have had the problem in Studio but never for users. In studio when it happens if I click off the screen object and back the issue usually goes away.

I try to build all on 1 screen as much as possible now. I used to do multiple screens but it gets so frustrating for maintenance.

I agree, I don't do a lot of one screen apps myself. I wanted to show what is possible but overall too many hidden pop ups on one screen drives me crazy to build. 🤪 Still, understanding the concepts it the key here.

Hello, I have a delegation problem with the first function. I have more than 2000 lines incremented from 1 to 2000 and when I want to add a new line, the ID must be 2001 and so on for the next lines. The sort function is delegable according to Microsoft I used the following function: First (sort (data source, ID, descending))ID+1 But the sort function works on voluminous data I also used this function : With({var: sort(data source, ID, descending)}, first (var).ID+1) but the function still doesn't work on large data. Do you have a solution? Please let me know

Your logic seems sound. Break it down to smaller steps and see if you can figure out where you are going wrong. Make sure your sort First is giving the ID you think it should be is where I would start.

@@ShanesCows I solved the problem When I used the function SORT(data source , ID_Num, descending) in a gallery item containing 6846 lines(6846 ID_Num), I noticed that the first ID_Num that the gallery displays is 999. This means that the SORT function can't sort beyond 999 lines. I therefore sorted on the ID column integrated in SharePoint and in this case the gallery displays 6846 as the first ID_Num Finally, I wrote this function to increment my ID_Num First (sort(data source,ID, descending)).ID_Num+1 My ID_Num is incremented each time a new line is added i.e. 6847, 6848 and so on
