Thank you Reza, This video is very helpful. How the conditional trigger works for a scheduled flow. For example - creating a flow to set reminder on SharePoint library on daily/monthly basis. How to set condition in trigger based on SharePoint library columns.
For recurring flows, you can define the schedule in the trigger itself. You cannot mix it with sharepoint library column values as trigger is not sharepoint based.
Great video, short but to the point, detailed and used scenario. Please Reza, Could you do some video similar to this video with some short scenarios like WHY and how we can use( data operations and variables?), all of them select,compose, parse , filter array.. I've looked all over the place blogs & vlogs but i have not found any that explains thoroughly about WHY? to use these actions/expressions.., most bloggers appeared to be showing what they have cooked in the flow (just the sauce ) but they don't explain the the ingredients(actions, expressions and why they used them and how they cooked the sauce).so I am confused where to start learning these 2 important actions in flow (data operations and variables), the difference & similarity, in what kind of scenarios should i use them? Just some tip as a general rule you know when, why, where..to use the different data operation actions and variables...thanks in advance

Great video but wondering, I see you can but additional triggers, how would you add an Or. So I want it to look at 2 Yes/No fields and if either are set to Yes then run the flow.
Hi Reza, Thanks for showing how to use Trigger conditionally for True/False. Slightly off-topic; how can I check if the inflow, if the Forms submitted, has attachments or not. Hope we could use your idea for that. because seems to be no way to check True/False directly in the flow.
Thanks for watching Mohan. As for your question - I am assuming you are relating to Microsoft Forms. The forms trigger does not provide any metadata associated with the submitted form and hence checking a condition after triggering is the only alternative.
Hi Reza. What if I want this flow does not runs when post is "Yes" But you modified "Assigned to " Column. (It is assigned to someone else now) How can this be achieved?

The Compose function was working in classic mode fine, but all of a sudden it just shows all the dynamic content inline with NO option for expressions... I don't have those 2 buttons at the top right of the INPUT box. Any thoughts?
Are you using the experimental settings for Power Automate. If turned On - it will show the new expression dialog else it will be classic. Also, if your screen resolution is such that content is too zoomed in, flow will not show the expression dialog.

I have a choice column and i just want to start the trigger when the value in a specific column is Onboarding. But I see that the Output of the trigger is all column. When I change a value in the line, the trigger start. Did you have an advice for me ?
@Reza I don't use an array. Must I insert an array ? The employee status is a column with multiple choice. The goal is when the value of employee status is ongoing or notice period, then an email is sent. Thank you again for your help.

Hi Reza, I was able to make it work. I just deleted the original Trigger and then replaced with Scheduled Cloud flow. Nervously tested it but it ran fine. Phew. Thank you again for your amazing content and inspiring us rookies to get comfortable with Power Automate and leverage the benefits and efficiencies at our work that can be gained with Power Automate.

Hello Reza, Thank for this video. I came to this video in search of a solution for SharePoint create/update trigger on a list. Let calls this ListA. If ListA item is created or modified, I want to lookup ListB to update the value in ListA. However if flow updates ListA will this cause trigger to fire and run the flow again resulting in an infinite loop? Thanks so much.

Hello Reggie, If you update an item in the same flow and the flow triggers on item update, you would run into the infinite trigger loop which will not end up well and hence the warning. Hi thanks for the video . Is this feature available for CDS instead of SharePoint ?I would like to know if a particular column in a cds table is changed and if so update some thing based on that . Hello, this feature is available for every flow trigger. If you create CDS triggered flows inside solutions, you can even apply the trigger conditions in the actions itself. The only issue is that when if I want to do something when the status changes from A to B, if it so happens that the original status is A, and they make a modification to B, then the flow runs. Then, if someone changes another field, but the status is still B, then the flow runs again. That's not right. It should only run when the status is updated, not when "anything" is modified and the status remains B. how can I overcome this problem?
If you need to trigger Flow only when some column is modified, then only option would be to have some logic in your form (PowerApps customized) where when the column is updated a particular hidden column value is set. Example set column flag=1 when that column is modified. If not modified- then set value to 0. Then trigger your flow only when flag value is 1
@alyonawallin2932 - In the case of multi step approvals that are done in a state machine concept, it is critical to reset the status field to "A" at the very top portion of the workflow.
Hi when I am creating a flow with "for a selected file" action on power automate, for form library it is not showing me flow name when I select a file and click on flow to trigger it manually Is this available for form library as for document library it is working fine?
Never tested it with a forms library. I beleive those are the ones that store the classic infopath forms. good chance a flow might not tie into the classic experience. You can use column formatting to trigger the flow as well for selected item. spknowledge.com/2020/07/19/trigger-flow-from-sharepoint-list-column/ You can tweak the logic in the link above for a selected item trigger.
Hello Reza, I have an issue with trigger conditions. Once I update settings for "When the item is created or modified" with conditions which I want, the Dynamic content is dispiriting. I can´t add any additional steps after this as Flow simply don´t see any dynamic information. Do you know what the issue can be?
Sometimes the dynamic content value does not show up. Try and save the flow and then re-edit the Flow to check and see if you get the dynamic values. Adding a trigger condition should have no effect on dynamic content
Hi Reza, how are you? How can I change the value of a string variable if the item suffers any type of modification? In my case, the variable is setting the status "PENDING IT APPROVAL" or "PENDING FINANCE APPROVAL". On this case, if the item is modified by the user, I would like to "restart" the flow by moving the variable status to the first step of approval. Thanks a lot

Hello Reza, that you for this tutorial. Can the same be done with State Change in Azure Devops Work Item? I am trying to generate the expression, however it is showing as "@triggerOutputs()?['body/fields/System_State']". I simply want to trigger Once on a specific state change and make sure that an approval is not triggered again unless the work item goes into this state again. Is this possible?

one doubt here, I have a choice column and i wanted to use the trigger the flow when the Status column is not equals to "Acknowledged" but somehow @not function is not working, will you be able to tell what is my issue? I noticed that when I tried to use trigger condition and the Split-on in settings of the first action is ON - I cant use the Apply to each action flow.

What is wrong in this expression: @equals(triggerBody()?['ARStatus'], 'AR-Hold') I have a column name ARStatus and there a dropdown where I can select AR-Hold, but the flow never triggers and I do not get errors.
I hope this video is still being Monitored. I am following the same steps as described in this video but according to Flow Checker there is an error. one difference when doing a Peek Code it doesn't see the Column name as "Status" but sees it as "body/Approved" also not seeing it as triggerBody but rather triggerOutput This step is holding up my entire flow, but just seems that there is no way for my flow to be triggered..

@@RezaDorrani Good Moring Reza. Apologies for the late reply. I am trying to build a approval system where a manager has to give approval when a quote has been added to a sharepoint list. I have a column that is a created as a choice with 4 values. That will be used for the trigger when the value changes to 'quoted'. Following the steps in the video I end up with this Trigger condition - @equals(triggerOutputs()?['body/Approved'],Quoted) The flow checker has an issue with this - The power flow's logic app flow template was invalid. Unable to parse template language expression 'equals(triggerOutputs()?['body/Approved'],Quoted)': expected token 'LeftParenthesis' and actual 'RightParenthesis'. If I add single quote marks around Quoted, my Flows saves but then never triggers, when I update the column.

Hello Reza, Thank you so much for the tips! It is very useful! I tired it and it worked for the few flows. I have one issue, which I can´t solve, my flow runs multiple time instead of only 1. I put the trigger condition into settings for “When an existing item is modified”, if this item = 1 than send an email. Very simple, but the problem is that the flow sends multiple emails (can be 3-4) instead of only 1 email, even though there was no any trigger. I checked the version history in the list and it is turned off, thus it should not be an issue. Could you please suggest what can be the issue for this? I checked power users forum and it seems that a lot of users facing the same issue as I am powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/General-Power-Automate/Flow-is-starting-multiple-times/td-p/129773

@@RezaDorrani expand on that, on the field that you want to monitor, set the "onchange" to do UpdateContext({varTemp:true}), then on the hidden field set the default = If(varTest,DataCardValue01.Text,Parent.Default), then in the flow do a equal string compare.
