They say an infinite number of monkeys at a typewriter will eventually produce the full works of Shakespear, well I don't think I would have ever thought of filtering a SharePoint list with an expression. On a personal note, when I first saw the expression editor and intellisense came up, I slammed my laptop shut like I had seen a ghost! Now I'm growing in confidence. Fantastic stuff Jon and Reza. Really great.
why am i leaving this video with a smile? Its 12:57 am now and i still feels fresh seeing this session... Thanks a lot Jon andd Reza. can't wait for 301
You guys have rocked the content.. The way it has been explained by Reza is crystal clear and can be understand by a person who doesn't know anything about expression in Power Automate. Thank you
Awesome video! I’m hoping to get a better understanding on how to manipulate complex data types like the People types. Having issues trying to empty a People field when an item is unassigned.
It's almost painful to look back at older flows I made and check the excessive, redundant and hard-to-maintain expressions and actions I've used before watching this series. We need 301, 401 and more! Time to remake some of them... Thanks a Lot, guys.
Reza and Jon, this is awesome thank you! Quick question, are these expressions (and expressions in general) based on a specific language syntax? Like .NET, Python, or SQL?
Thanks for the tutorial. Since it primarily dealt with collections - and Intersection in particular - I wanted to point out that we really need the "EXCEPT" function. "EXCEPT" should provide the exact opposite of INTERSECTION, i.e. listing the values that are included in array1 but are missing from array2. This would really enhance performance for some advanced scenarios because the only way to achieve this atm is to loop against the array you want to compare with - on a large dataset this results in unbearable performance (sequentially looping against 5,000+ items takes a while). Therefore, I am asking you Jon, if you could reach out to the product team and propose this function to be included. It really is a crucial functionality which unfortunately is still missing ... thanks a lot!
I am using Power Automate Desktop and I can't find expressions, dynamic content etc ?? Typing expression, function, dynamic content none of it finds anything in the menus. It does have a Scripting tab so I guess I can export things to little powershell/python scripts and then see if I can get back into the flow.

Hello Jon, I have a SharePoint library (Production) containing folders. I have also list (Preparation List) and one of the columns in this list is a copy/paste of each folder's link. I want to set "Ok" in one column of the library (Status) if the copy/paste link is equal to folder's link in the library. Do you have suggestion please. Best regards Anja
