i tried using rankx in a measure but for me all the values in rank are coming came when i used in a table visual once i apply all function then it removes the filter at any column level in particular table. please tell. How for you values are showing different in measure does it handles differently in column level and measure level

RANKX in a measure can give you different results because it is calculated based on filter / row context applied to each visual, however in Calculated Column each row's rank is calculated independently. Check out below 2 videos which will give you a better understanding of how to structure your DAX: DAX Masterclass - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4rC9Ow76n0U.htmlsi=ikQ7f8jsRUn2XzMQ 2 Pillars of DAX Structuring: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5ryuQw-o2q4.htmlsi=rXvmdYs_fgEwSU4W

Instead of using Switch, would it not be better to create a table and to relate them?
@pivotalstats
@pivotalstats 3 месяца назад
Hi, Yes it depends on your data. If the number of items which needs to be labeled are very less & will remain static, for example, in this case it was only 5 items, then I would prefer Switch because its easier to implement. However if number of items are substantially large or it keeps on changing then I would definitely use the method that you suggested. Hope this helps!
