waiting for the part-3 in HR Dashboard series where you can teach Navigation and developing 3rd screen. If already available please comment the link here
Thank you for the great work you have put in. Waiting for the part 3 of this series for the navigation from one screen to another per se . It is highly expected. Thank you

Hi, thank you for sharing...Please, at 12:13 on the Excel worksheet, what you had after some minutes is quite different from the main one... How did you achieve that?
Thank you, Sir. The part about finding duplicates could be more transparent. In fact, in my understanding, duplicate means promotion=retrenchment=1. As we have the same employee names in the promotion table and retrenchment table, to find a duplicate, you should sort by name the two tables and find where promotion=retrenchment=1.
HI, great video and explanation. just the excel for promotion and retrenchment people excel lists, the source are different from what you have. can you upload an updated version. Thank you very much!
Thank you very much for the Tutorial. My question is that , in my PowerBI table, I noticed that the people who are not due for promotion still showed up but with value "0" but in your own they were not there
Thank you for this video. i think there is a mistake and it's me misunderstanding. you want to look for employees that are going to be promoted and retrenched at the same time. in the sheet that you have the employee's lists isn't the same ( for promotion you have only the list of employees to be promoted), for the retrenched you have the list of all employees ( 0 for employee to be retranched and 1 for employee that are not going to), it means that the order of employees for both list isn't the same. So, in order the see if an employee belongs to both the promoted list and retrenched list we have to test if he is going to be retrenched = 1 and then if we find him name in the promoted list then he belongs to the list.
Hello, thanks a lot for these videos, they have helped me a lot :) I just have a question: when you created the list of "will be retrenched at 8:40 minute, as you can see there are ones and zeros, ones for employees who are gonna be retrenched and zeros for those who keep on service, so that means when you downloaded this list to excel actually you took all employees, could be there a mistake with that procedure? besides, when you try to find duplicates in excel you use the if function, wouldn´t be more appropriate to find them using the vlooup function?, because in the way you are using the if function just compares cell by cell instead all the range that we need look for. Thanks so much!
I'm so thankfull to u that u mentioned this oversight by sir at 8:41 .. Since no body was mentioning it I thought may be I'm thinking it in wrong way. 😂 After taking only the values which are 1 from both the. Csv files, I got 4 names? Is that right?
So, if you're struggling with High Rated & Low Rated Here's the help. First create a new measure and use this formula. High Rated Count = COUNTROWS(FILTER('HR Analytics Data', 'HR Analytics Data'[Performace Rating] = "High Rating")) & Low Rated Count = COUNTROWS(FILTER('HR Analytics Data', 'HR Analytics Data'[Performace Rating] = "Low Rating")) After creating these two measures create 2 more new measures and follow this. % High Rated = DIVIDE([High Rated Count], COUNTROWS('HR Analytics Data'), 0.01) & % Low Rated = DIVIDE([Low Rated Count], COUNTROWS('HR Analytics Data'), 0.01) You're welcome, happy learning :)
Part 2 is again the amazing one❤🎉thank you so much sir for this wonderful section. I tried to add the navigation button but could craft cool navigation buttons like u did i mean the style of ur navg buttons.. I'll be glad if u let us kw how u did that.
very nice work, I've follow you in the part1 and i make-it very easy....thank u. I'll begin this second part and i hope to finalize-it as the 1 part.....good job.
at 12:17 we can clearly see entry #5 Abram Q Keffer has no corresponding duplicate value, hence "N" . But suddenly at 12:24 it changes to "Y' for duplicate value. Can you explain how did this magic happen?
I used IF and AND functions to find the answers on Due for Promotion and Will be retrenched columns. Cause think about it, if you have employees due for promotion and will be retrenched set to 1, it makes no sense, so something should be done about those employees, if you have employees due for promotion set to 1 and will be retrenched set to 0, then those the ones that will be promoted. That's basically the logic I used.
To get a more accurate amount of duplicates, this is the formula - =IF(COUNTIF($A$2:$A$73, B2)>0, "Y", "N") in column c (assuming Promotion is A & Retrenchment is B). Then after this, on column D, insert this formula, =IF(C2="Y",B2,"").
This is one of the best tutorial i have seen. You had very good and important examples needed. I shared as well.I really appreciate the effort. I watched like watching a movie. At times looking at subs. , 😀Thanks a lot ❤
Thank you so much for the amazing work. However, cannot see the last bit of putting all the icons together part, would you post that in some near future? Many thanks
Hi, thank you for the video. I have a doubt, for adding total employees in each department, I am getting the total number of employees designated for each department. For eg. if the total employees are 200, I am getting 200 in each department. What should I do about it?

I got stuck there too. I think he just manually changed some of the names in the first column, so that there would be some duplicates, so I did the same
@@luquest_9438 i realized that my duplicates were totally different from that of the instructor... he had duplicates whose name began with A... mine were at the bottom
First, let me commend you for your attention to details, it’s 100. In this video, you didn’t show how you created the home, action and detail slicer and how it slices through the dashboard. Give me any of your video where it demonstrated. I have been trying it but am mixing things up.
I Think that what you have done in Excel is not a good practice to find the duplicate , that may imply error , you have find only 6 people in duplicate but in fact there are 54

there is a problems with the employees that are due for promotion and will be retrenched , Abram Q Keffer Alanna L Tyrell Akiko S Godby Agnes Blow those employees are neither due for promotions nor will be retrenched can anyone explain ??
Will do something similar to this on our new channel. You can subscribe to our new Data Analytics channel:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4qx-SJc1Xsk.htmlsi=7Y1SpDxXXz9Qpdwj
If one persons name appeared in the two.... Is best for the management to decide whats best for the employee. Remember, retrenchment is not a healthy moment in an organization. It can comes at a point when you got due for promotion.
0. If for someone formula from 12:10 doesn't work check this: =IF(A3=B3;"1"; "0") or if you have other excel language translate ,,IF" to your native word meaning English "if". For Polish it is 'jeżeli" so in polish lang. Excel formula should be: ,, =JEŻELI(A2=B2;"1"; "0") " ,, =IF(A2=B2;"1"; "0") " will DO NOT work
It’s very clear the Tutor did manually type some names in the Remove duplicates part because if we Pause the video at 12.51 and look over to the Promotion Column First Value= “Adelaide L Harrop “ and then match it with Employee name Retrenchment column value in cell 10 we see the same name Adelaide L Harrop and to which the find duplicates column says “N”. Quite funny.
@@datalab365 Don't think people watching your videos to learn are fools... It's very much evident that the video was edited and those values were manually typed.. You can go back on your video, pause it at 12.51 and refer the 2 column and see for yourself the Duplicate name in column 1 and column 2 being same , just the cell no.s are different which obviously IF function will never be able to give back the result as duplicate as it will only refer values in cells of same row... And mind you there were 54 duplicate values( when the names of both column are put in one single column and then remove duplicate option is utilised. Unfortunately RU-vid doesn't allow screenshot to be uploaded otherwise i would have given a evidence of how where you are wrong and deliberately not accepting it...
@@datalab365 The first part of your video on this Report was no doubt Superb . But in this part almost all people who have commented did face issues in Excel Duplicate part which can only be possible if some editing has been done in the sheet but obviously not made public.. I did read a few comments where the 1. end result was different to what you got and so on.....
@@datalab365 So i think you used the If(And) function to get the names. But it only returns the names as Duplicate if the name in column 1 ( Row 2) is same as name in Column 2(Row 2). On contrary it gives the result as Not Duplicate if the same in Column 1(Row 2) is present in Column 2 (Row 3). On the final note the function used if( and) function gives a list of 4 employees, names of which are totally different to what you got obviously through some manually typed names in the list that's why the video is obviously edited at that stage .
@@jayashree4745 check the datatype of your performance rating to make sure is a text. Add filter function after [total emo] Calculate([total emo], Filter(hr analytics data[ performance rating ] ="High rating" )
Hello sir , can you just clarify in this video how % high rated and % low rated has been created Because when i am trying to show this visual it shows : MdxScript(Model) (19, 57) Calculation error in measure 'All Measures'[High Rated]: DAX comparison operations do not support comparing values of type Integer with values of type Text. Consider using the VALUE or FORMAT function to convert one of the values. Please Tell me.
Create measures for high and low rated first then branch out to calculate the percentages. That is you will have to divide either high rating or low rating by the total employees using the divide function. Hope this is clear, let me know if I can assist further.
