I agree it was good to see the return of Zeke, Mecca, and Lorenzo. I also have a feeling that we will see more “ghosts” show up as the season goes on.

Welcome back! I enjoy your POWER reviews. Hoping this finale season goes out strong. Can Dana tweak her mic settings? She has such good comments, but her audio is muffled compared to Gary and Richard. You all have great insight on the characters and the storyline. Keep the great reviews coming!! 😁😁😁

I loved how Obie (or is it Ovie?) referring to Tariq & Braydon as ebony and ivory at one point in the episode 😆 I would be surprised if Effie survives at the end but I do see Tariq manipulating her to some degree. Great first episode and glad to have you guys back as always.

I agree with Dana about bratty Anya, and she does remind me of the female version of Tariq 😂. Noma seemed more scary last season than she did this episode. Also Obie won't make it past episode 4.

While this is the last season of power book 2 I don’t think this is the end of Tariq’s story I feel like it’s the last stop in transition from boy to man because even though he’s a legal adult him and the majority of his peers are presented as kids so I could see a spin off after this season where he’s put into more of an adult role as I feel like they’re starting to do this season with getting as many kills he did this episode to him having a sex scene with Anya as seen in one of the trailers to him even possibly being a father and i feel they’re gonna do with kanan in raising kanan and season 5 will be his transition from boy to man and being put into an adult role in power Origins

I think you make a lot of great points here. With the way Michael trolled about being angry the show was ending only to reveal later that he knew and has been talking to Starz, it definitely seems like his story won’t end with this show. We will see what happens and I look forward to whatever spin-offs are announced once it’s over.

We will definitely see anya again because she’s gonna be Tariq’s new love interest as it shows in one of the trailers I could see him keeping her close as a way to get noma but end up falling for her later on and might even up turning her into a criminal like kanan did to him as he might see himself in her because they both grew up wealthy, both came from criminal families that lied to them about they really were, both speak Italian and both in school so he might end turning Anya against noma

Hey guys. I enjoyed episode 1. I was expecting Paz to go absolutely bezerk about her son. She lost it over Angela but was calm about her son. That didn't make sense to me. I guess we will see her turn up later in the series. I did like how they paid homage to OG Power in certain scenes. I loved seeing Monet visiting a prequel to her final moments. I also enjoyed Mecca, Lorenzo, and Zeke's appearances 😂. She did come right back barking orders to her kids😂. Dru is big mad with her, and I expect him to be the one to take her out. Or should I say try to take Monet out😂😂😂 Cane definitely has one eye open on Effie as he should. I feel like Diana is Tariq's Tasha, but we will see. I'm waiting on Ghost to return.

Thank you Tracy and I agree that this episode was good. The point you made about Paz is very valid. There is a chance she could turn up like you said but I’m also not sure since we got that episode of her perspective in season 6 when ghost died. I think we definitely will see Carter go off the deep end trying to take out Tariq so that should be interesting 😂 As for all the drama with the Tejadas, I’m very curious to see how all this comes to a head. Dru was hilarious in this episode as a lunatic and I do think he could try taking out Monet but will fail lol Diana will definitely have a conflicted relationship with Tariq and the same will probably happen with Cane and Effie. I just saw the trailer for season 2 so very interested to see what happens next lol

I did say how in the world could someone who was throwing up and unable to complete unaliving missions is now an expert marksman 🤣. The power viewers appreciate your hard work. Pretty disappointed with the episode, hopefully it gets better. If this is all they could come up with then I'm glad this series is ending. Can't wait for Book III, characters are more interesting and easier to invest in.

I think we can all agree that Book 3 is a standout show and another reason why it’s interesting is because there are plenty of characters we never saw or heard about in the OG Power show. It’s also fascinating seeing how Kanan and jukebox became who they are in the OG show.

Tasha is definitely a character on the chopping block. Tariq will lose Tasha and gain Ghost.

I agree. With this being the final season, I feel like the need to raise the stakes. Tariq needs bigger motivations for continuing to do the things he does. If Tasha were to die then it would give him a good reason to want to go directly at Cane and the Tejadas.

I definitely respect and understand this opinion lol Tariq was cold blooded in this episode and he definitely doesn’t deserve a happy ending with all he has done. This is a reason why we think Tasha may get taken out since his goal was to protect and reunite with his family. However, I’m definitely not opposed to him getting taken out but we will see if that happens as it seems like Starz has more work they want to do with him in the future.
