Use similar attachment in industry and I have one at home . Fantastic tool . I use different grits and have a ball valve up by trigger in the sand pickup line . Can control amount of abrasive and shut off and just wash . I use a high pressure soap injector on pressure washer with high alkaline laundry detergent . Coats and cleans and won’t rust .
@@jasonmurphy1587 just use cheap liquid laundry detergent . Coats bare steel when dry . You need a high pressure soap Injector on washer intake too pump . If you you use hot water pressure washer with sand blaster it’s even better .
I bought one couple weeks back and finally put to use on my 65 ford econoline. Now I I used the one from Northern tool and even another from some other place that looked very similar. But not sure what y’all do but this one out of the 3 is at least 40% better and I say at least. Yes its probably 100-150 more but you get the wand with it but the fact that its at least 2x better means , well you guessed it. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. cheers 🍻
Good for cars and smaller projects..Not good for bigger projects like trailers. Also dry blasting makes paint stick better which is needed for trailer that are on the road 24/7.But for cars its good as it does not heat the metal.
We bought one of your systems, and its going through media SUPER fast, got the air inlet opened all the way, still going through alot of media, way more than 10lbs per minute. Any advice? Using 30-60 Black beauty, 4400psi 4gpm.
This depends on the GPM flow of your pressure washer. If it's around 4+, it will work better. If it's 3 or less, it would be quite slow. I've never tested the kit below 2500 @ 3.
Hi. Does this run through bags of sand super quick or is there a way to control the amount thats being injected? Also can i use glass blasting bags instead of sand bags?
Media use will depend on psi & gpm rates, but it will use aprox 10lbs for every full minute of "trigger on" time. During that time, it will strip 1 square foot of well adhered paint to bare steel. You can use pretty much any type of media, including glass bead. Best to test different types of media and see what works best for you.
The sandblast head creates a large amount of suction to pull the sand from the container, though your sand hose and into the head where it mixes with high pressure water and gets sent out through the carbide nozzle. Works great and won't clog.
