it's been almost 5 years I went on hiatus after I made this video, cos I'm a lazy person to make another video. so I added some descriptions to make this lead.
***** I was going to make a tone-shaping video tutorial but I have to survive my semesters.. I used On-Board Efx called "JD-Multi" which is JD-800's efx signal chain in one effect block. you can use JV and XV series modules' multiple assignable outputs to use some external signal processor hardwares or distortion pedals. Sans Amp GT 2 guitar distortion pedal is a great choice that carries DI? or Line Out signal, that can be plugged directly in to the mixer or audio I/O. and here's how it works. 1. Use Square, Triangle, EP, or maybe Piano waveforms. sawtooth is a bad idea. 2. Band-Pass the hell outta them. use frequency, resonance and velocity key follow, so the resonation and target frequencies are always changing depend on your playing. I use total 4 different band passes, one per each oscillator. 3. use tiny amount of Phaser (this is another magic trick.) that makes PWM-like living sound, can be found on various keyboardists' lead tone such as Jens and Janne. and then, any hi-gain mid focused Distortion will work.
From what I can hear at the beginning of your video you start with a classic "organ" sound. I love how it sounds at the end. Very impressive! Thanks for sharing this vid.

You are amazing! I wanted to find that kind of non distorted sound but i dont seem to succeed. What kind of plugin or sound you use in your midi or synth?
