Ken Danger (332 The Rhumba of the Beast) takes up the challenge of making heavy metal with synthesizers and a drum machine. 🤘 Download the track here: alexball.bandcamp.com/track/h... / alexballmusic / alexballmusic
"All this machinery making modern music can still be open hearted. Not so coldly charted It's really just a question Of your honesty, yeah, your honesty." -Rush, "Spirit of Radio"
So, so good. Laughing my arse off (but also being educated at the same time). Kinda like heavy metal music and Earl Grey Tea together. Genius dude. Don't anyone dare dislike this..... otherwise I'm gonna 'ave to tell your muvver.
Neat! Kinda reminds me of the cyber rock soundtracks to some old Mega Drive games, especially Thunder Force 4. Somehow the cheap sound of a 6-channel consumer FM chip just really worked to convey that crunchy, distorted overdrive sound. This is a little bit smoother but still has that wicked cyber rock sound. Also, the excessively long pause with the middle finger cracked me the heck up. :D
Oh Alex, I’ve had a terrible day today! Really really depressing stuff regarding current events, plus family problems relating to these events. But this show......what you just done Guv.....cheered me up no end I can tell yah! Your comedic skills are second to none, and we need more of these! 👏👏👏
Ken Danger: Has One of the rarest Guitar Synthesizers ever made, only around 1000 or so ever made right there in his Studio (Arp Avatar). :uses The Korg X911 Guitar Synthesizer (Not that its a bad thing though)
I'm looking forward to Ken's 'Black Metal on Synthesizers' tutorial where he dons full corpse face paint and plays pink, red and white noise continuously for six minutes and screams over the top of it, and then sacrifices Geert Van Schlänger and drinks a chalice full of his blood! 🤘🤘🤘
I laughed so hard at the "yeah, but you're forgetting about this" part. and the way you held it. Brilliant! Should this youtube/music thingy not pan out for you. Your comedy career is waiting. ;-) Good stuff man! Keep 'em coming. Edit: Forgot to mention: love the air drumming.
was immensely grinning through the whole performance xD its way to good, and every new section surprised me and made me even laugh more. that video is so impressive. i genuinely love it! :D
This is the video I didn't know I needed! I used to run a Korg Delta through a Marshall amp back in the 80's and it really sounded like a heavy metal guitar. It used to fool the chicks until they opened the dorm room door and found a nerd with his synth out. Ken Danger... I salute you.
Fun fact, even the YM2612 sounder chip, one of the soundchip the Sega Genesis used has feedback as well which is the reason why it was able to make either irritable or genuinely good metallic tune.
So I’m working at home ánd teaching my kids during this crisis. This video is going to be the awesome music lesson I never had, damn right! 👍😎🤘🖕Thanks for this amazing curriculum!!!!
Is he going to be touring with Ministry and KMFDM soon? I went to way too many industrial shows in the 90s...this would have gotten over, but maybe not at the self-serious shows...opening for My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult perhaps?
That long moment while you held up your middle finger and you were sipping your tea, yeah I felt that. Also holy sh** I am stunned by the impressive magnitude of your synth collection!
Hahaha one of the best synth videos ever! If Carlsberg did a synth video this would be it...probably. Thank you, I needed a good laugh. Stay safe and rock on 🤘
