Emily, I just received my lifetime Gold Star membership. Amazing, right?! I lost my father in Vietnam. My mother stayed so strong for her 2 kids. She took us fishing, camping, skiing, etc. She did all for us that our dad was not there to do. The legacy will go on and on and on. I will honor Alexander each time I use this card. And that is the point, right? We honor, and we love, and we never forget.
Sad story. In my years hiking, and even driving across country , I always took a SPOT messenger with me with the tracking turned on.... that way, if I didn't show up, at least they would have my last known coordinates.
