@@Iron8127 he doesn't have one he only has access red MMPR, the gold zeo power were returned to Trey of Triforia after the powers started slowly killing Jason as they were never meant for human physiology and the boom studio omega rangers aren't canon yet.
Like Griffnix said, the explosion effect is because of the energy resonating between the rangers that are together as they are pulling from the Morphing grid. The voice commands and poses act as a command line to the power much like a computer with a mouse and keyboard, is how I often thought of it. Different commands and poses for different access points.
Fun fact: in the original sentai version this was meant to be part of the Dino charge series. That's why you don't see the beast morpher ranger fighting along side the team up other than the megazord battle
I love the thought that the OG rangers are just sitting at home with a beer, watching tv and dressing in full ranger costume waiting for the next crossover 😂
@@VME-Brad Of course! Yes. That's exactly what they do. To Run DMC, presumably, or something equally nineties. Zack must have gotten *tremendously* excited when that 90s nostalgia buzz came into fashion.
Not really 30 years since they stopped using the phrase "It's morphin' time" in Turbo and started having each Ranger team with a different morphing call, then they brought it back for the Neo Saban era starting with Megaforce.
“THIS is an army!” *15 rangers* Uhhh like 3 seasons ago or something they had the legendary battle with over a hundred rangers, THAT was an army, this is a strike team by comparison
That's kinda how Morphin' works. It transforms the Rangers into peak physical condition, as well as granting them superhuman speed, strength, and reactions.
@@oscarlara1299 yea he served in the army or marines, I think marines, and did a tour in Afghanistan. I believe he’s a firefighter nowadays. His dad was a marine and his mom a cop. He’s a true American hero born and bred
@@jorgedelgado5292 yah I'd want to contribute to my country but family especially if they have a background in army or policing an so on! Totally makes sense!
@@oscarlara1299 hey man you don’t need to have a family background to be in the service. My family and my relatives has no military background and we’re from out of US, and now my sister and I are the first ones to be in the service. I’m glad to be a part of it.
The clip with the fireworks at the end would have been taken from the super Sentai footage and not filmed with Jason. You can notice as the background is different to the rest of the scene
One of my daycare kids asked me to put on Power Rangers for her, and this was the episode that happened to be on. I was hit with a thorough dose of nostalgia as I explained to her who he was, and how I was just about her age when I first saw him. She thought that was so cool. So now we watch Power Rangers while the other kids take naps😎
Wasn't really a gender reveal, more a display of gender fluidity. All those colors at the explosion. I guess when the child is three it can decide to be a duck.
Everyone commenting on Austin’s weight, without thinking that the guy doesn’t even act or do martial arts like JDF anymore, and seeing him as Jason is such a blessing, since he has refused for almost 20 years to go back to the role.
@@heisenberg2467 From an interview I watched, it seems someone from management that he was friends with, approached him for the cameo within a few weeks. So I doubt he could get in shape. Plus, is not like he was going to do any big fight scenes without the suit anyway.
Considering he's not as physically active as someone like JDF who's practicality a superhero at this point, Austin looks amazing for his age. He looks like a regular middle aged dude who takes care of himself.
@@conradlorgar5508 Who cares? It's cool to the see the dude do it again and I am sure he's really happy to be back for a Cameo. You try to look decent at his age.
Austin St John: “Okay, I’ll do this on two conditions. Let me wear a button up shirt unbuttoned over a baggy T-shirt. And when I morph, you gotta bring in the stunt double.”
So damn satisfying to hear Austin St. John say "It's morphin' time!" I'm 30 years old and it sends me back every time. No one can do it better than him.
That's not the first time they did it. Kyoryuger (Dino Charge's Sentai counterpart) saw their original Kyoryu Cyan (Ramirez, played by Robert Baldwin) slim way down when transforming.
I like to think the Morphing Grid that puts you in the protective suits basically enhances your normal body to peak efficiency no matter your actual body size and type. It's why Justin, a 12 year old kid at the start is able to have a full grown adult body when he's morphed. It's like the Shazam! effect.
A kid in turbo doubled his height even with the mask off. So in suit they morph to fit. Trini turned into a boy the first series. These are stock footage. The red ranger is a Japanese man in the suit no matter what.
Jason: “this is an army!” *15 rangers* Megaforce: “Am i a joke to you?” Edit: someone noted that their were actually 14 rangers😂 so my bad, but you get the point though
@@Ez_Brzy The original yellow ranger in Sentai was a man to begin with, but they wanted another girl on the team for Mighty Morphing. In season 2 and three of Mighty Morphing, where they fought monsters from two other Sentai seasons they did have a female stunt actor for the yellow ranger.
Its hilarious how the concept of "morphing" is flying over some people's heads lol. These people outside of their suits are just normal average men/women, well vast majority of the time anyway. "Morphing" into the suits isn't just them changing clothes, it literally changes them physically and grants them super human strength and agility. As other's already said there are other cases of characters changing drastically when morphing into ranger mode, Jason becoming thinner makes sense and is actually the least extreme example compared to the others.
It probably turns the body back to its prime just as the blue turbo ranger it turned his body to a full adult probably to his most strongest point in his life but that’s just my guess of course
@@Arnell_Mediocrity_Long when i think about power ranged,i remember how dumb the things looked, but even now i love it,it was a special part of my childhood growing up seeing these guys do some weird moves and just destroy half a city along the monster and not give a crap,it was fun to turn off ur brain and just enjoy a show
@@Omnicontroller it was dope though... lol SPD first fight with Red Ranger was movie quality and Red forever 2002 had the extreme slow motion and speed up before 300
@Norman La but it was directed by a former Power Rangers Stunt director that pretty much created this style in the early 2000s starting with SPD. and boy is this guys work insane on newer Sentai seasons.
Yeah though they could recast the role to someone similar to her or use an voice actress in this case. Until they decide on what to do with her character.
We’re not likely to see many of the original rangers to begin with, at least not all in one place, but it’s nice that they’re still honoring her character and keeping Trini alive even though Thuy is no longer with us.
@@WilBgames They still use Japanese footage. In fact, in this clip, you can see a male suit actor in the Mighty Morphin Yellow suit in the wide shot at the end.
Asking genuinely: Who is the target audience for this now? There's no way the majority of Power Ranger viewers today are old enough to know who the original Red Ranger is, right? That was almost, what, 25 years ago? Or has Power Rangers done a comics and it's mostly middle-aged dudes watching it because nostalgia? Again, not trying to be mean or condescending, I'm a 33 year old dude who loves comics and I clicked this link, but I'm legitimately wondering why Jason coming back is a big deal for the actual viewership.
Honestly i think 99% of the show is for the current kids with sprinkle of nostalgia for the older audience. Episodes like this are likely to spike ratings by getting older people to watch the one episode. The only way for kids today to know Jason would be for their parents or something to show them but cmon MMPR looks like it was filmed on a potato compared to what these kids are used to
Dude..kid shows have to throw in jokes for the parents now sk they dont hav to shoot themselves in the head while the tvs on...its been like that for a while
