Good idea. Two things I would change. I would have less angle on the blade and I would cut the blade off with a cut off wheel so that it barely sticks out like a 1/16-in. Less chance of ending up in the emergency room. Haha
Thanks for keeping it simple while also motorized. I almost bought one of those $85 trimmers. Now I can put that $ towards a roll crimper unless you have a DIY video on that too. lol
Great fixture. Can you tell me how to attach the blade to the wooden treamer? Also, the blade seems to be different from a cutter blade, what kind of blade do you use?
All I did was grab the end of a utility knife blade with a pair of pliers and snap the tip off then I lined it up and tapped it in with a little hammer into the wood
Hi John, It’s a utility knife blade I break off the tip with a pair of pliers then I hold it with a pair of pointy nose pliers and tapping in with a hammer about a 1/4” deep.
Yep. He drives the tip of broken piece into wood using the snapped off edge as the striking surface. The guard not only prevents you from shredding your digits but should also deflect that slicer from flinging in God knows which direction. Nice device. Holders too.
I roll crib with an over shot card or if I’m fold crimping I have a cut down lee load all I have a video on it just search my channel you should be able to find it thanks for watching the video
