I viewed your consumption stats and they seem quite high for a JB74W, driving one myself and getting an average of about13.5km/l or 7.5l/100km: offroad, city and highway average, without throttle controller, chip, just standard OEM mode. The main thing I have observed is from the moment one uses over 2800RPM the fuel consumption does spike. the Jimny is not a speedy vehicle and if one controls the throttle one can get >500km per OEM40 litre tank. of course weight and wind resistance will have an affect (roof rack which I refuse to add on mine) and try to always be within GVM. For those who travel long distance and wish for range autonomy there is now available extended fuel tank that can provide that +1000km range.

Hi Peter , thank you for your comment , while my Jimny was still standard I got 14Km/L on it , but off course as the extras where added the fuel consumption went down , the benefit the throttle controller gave me onroad and the economy it gave me with city driving , I found the price is worth the added offroad control and city fuel economy it gave me. It is a non invasive system that gave me benefits that out weigh the price of the system , and I would recommend it for any Jimny driver that has bigger tyres more weight , to get a bit of the performance back and can save you some fuel while doing city driving. Keep a eye out for the next video , long distance gravel roads and some soft sand driving :)

I put a similar one on my Ford Falcon, makes a major difference when you don't have a mode selector! Great vid :)

Hi Paulo , I have taken my Jimny in for 2 services with the controller installed , and nobody complained about it. So I cant see a reason why that should affect your warranty.

Can I get one of these units to demo, as I absolutely believe that these Throttle controllers are all nonsense. .

Definitely not nonsense I have one in my Jimny, increased the performance and response of the vehicle tremendously.

You may want to consider that software is what is controlling the Jimny that your are driving and the controller has different software for each mode to optimize the cars various parameters for a particular setting. This is common and a standard feature on many cars today. Because the Jimny is a cheaper car it does not have this software stack. The times are a changing my friend.

Ek ry seker maar soos die ou man wat my geboorte datum verklap, maar ek kry gemiddeld 13km/l , in mengsel van stads verkeer en oop pad. Dan weer, dit is by seevlak......

Hi Gustav , dit is baie goeie verbruik wat jy kry , toe myne nog redelik standaard was het hy 12Km/l gegee in die stad en 14Km/l op die oop pad , maar soos ek extras by gesit het het die kilometers minder geword veral in die stad , dis waar die Power+ die grootste verskil gemaak het vir my , en natuurlik as ek 4x4 , in die sand maak dit a massiewe verskil. By seevlak het mens gewoonlik beter brandstof verbruik en die Jimny trek ook beter daar , ons is maar redelik hoog bo see spieel hier in Pretoria :)
