Energiewende und Verkehrswende sind in aller Munde.
Wie die Verkehrswende aussehen kann, zeigt das folgende Video:
CO2 wird aus der Luft entnommen und in einem mehrstufigen Prozess mittels Ökostrom in Benzin, Kerosin oder Diesel umgewandelt.
Dieser wichtige Schritt zu CO2-neutralem synthetischem Kraftstoff gelang im Rahmen des Kopernikus-Projekts "Power-toX" (P2X), an denen das Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT), Climeworks, Sunfire und Ineratec beteiligt sind.
Die Anlage befindest sich in einem Container und kann somit dort aufgestellt werden, wo viel regenerativer Strom vorhanden ist.
Momentan steht die Forschungsanlage im Energy Lab 2.0 auf dem Campus Nord des KIT.
Das Projekt wird vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung gefördert.

The world is talking about the energy transition and how traffic must change.
What these changes might look like is shown in this video:
CO2 is extracted from the air and converted into kerosine, gasoline and diesel using renewable energy throughout the process.
This important step towards CO2-neutral fuels is the result of the Kopernikus-Project "Power-to-X", in which the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Climeworks, Sunfire and Ineratec take part.
The container, in which the CO2 is extracted, processed and converted into fuels, is in the Energy Lab 2.0 at the KIT.
The project is sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
