I was a juror going thru selection process. The judge was questioning jurors that were related to someone in law enforcement. He asked if they could believe the defendant over the police officer. While questioning a woman juror she responded, "Judge my husband and son are both police officers and yes, I could believe a defendant over them, they are the two biggest liars I know". Interference is a physical act, the courts have already ruled. The cop was calling for backup as soon as he made contact with the occupants of the car, (sure sounds like profiling). To the occupants of the car, stop being a bootlicker, call out police when they're in the wrong. Qualified Immunity should be thrown out when cops willfully arrest someone unlawfully.

Apparently, the driver thought that kissing the cop's ass would get him somewhere. He was let go with a warning, but only because the cop decided to harass the bystander. The cop even stated that the driver's son was acting suspiciously and made the son identify himself when he was merely a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for a traffic infraction. The cop had no reasonable articulable suspicion that the son had committed any crime. Therefore the cop had no lawful reason to demand the son's identification. The cops were about to ruin the driver and his son's day until the bystander showed up and they instead ruined his. The driver and his son should have thanked the bystander for watching the cop's interaction with them instead of shucking and jiving for the police.

They're actually not allowed to arrest anyone, any time, for any reason. Citizens have the legal right to resist an unlawful arrest. That citizen will not be charged with resisting arrest, nor will they be charged if they escape arrest completely and get away, that would be known as escaping a kidnapper. The cop would likely get away with the crimes they've committed BECAUSE of that, but the cop isn't ALLOWED to arrest that person, if that person doesn't resist and does nothing apart from some nothing and comply silently, that cop will likely be fired at the end of it, as they won't have qualified immunity as a result of it. But who cares about that, resist the illegal arrest as much as you can until the cops beat the hell out of you, then get a pay out, and live happily knowing you can move away. @@GrandRezero

Its important to understand that when you see police you should not go near them when they are doing their job, if you get close to them they may become very hostle towards you. That being said the cop reacted very aggressive towards the man. He was just standing minding his own business and it just got so bad to the point where the cop had to arrest him. He didn't even commit a crime and he just lashed out for no reason.

OMG! He exercised his freedom of speech! OH NO, it's the deadly birdie finger! Now I HAVE to arrest him! This bystander wasn't even threatening or aiming a weapon or even threatening to. He expressed the fact that he wasn't doing anything to warrant this cop's "attention" and also expressed his displeasure at the "officer's" attempt to bully him. That's it. And let's not forget that at one point he walked AWAY from the whole scene, back to his car and that wasn't good enough for the tyrant cop to stop the interaction. Oh, no. The cop already had his feelings bruised by a knowledgeable citizen and a birdie finger so now he FOLLOWS the guy to the car and proceeds to re-engage in escalating behavior when he should have just let it go. How did he think he was going to claim "interference" when the guy walked AWAY?! oh yeah, LIE, LIE, LIE. I just keep saying it - our entire law enforcement training system needs a complete overhaul AND qualified immunity HAS to go.

Because if you told the general public of pearl-clutching old ladies and flag-waving loudmouths, they would tell you immediately that he was arrested so he must have been trash. Had he listened, blah blah. They wouldn't care about the officer being unprofessional. The people in this country have been fed so much propaganda it is absurd. From "see something, say something" to make people complicit in drumming up revenue and information for the police. Then convincing everyone that anyone arrested must be a terrible person because cops are heroes and have such terribly dangerous jobs. Each political party just tells you what to be scared of and who to blame, everyone they want you to support blindly is an automatic hero. If they wanna start a war for no good reason and make money off it, then they beat it into every one to "support the troops" as if that is the issue. Everyone supports the troops, but they get so caught up in every big corporation and government entity saying support the troops support the troops, that people don't have time to pull back the curtain and see the problem with the war. Every time a cop is shot or hurt or stubs his toe there is a parade and a national news bit about how heroic they are. "thanks to all the first responders" for blah blah blah.... It's ingrained in our culture to be brainwashed by propaganda so people don't question those who do something wrong while making money for the government. People who need help now are considered "the takers". Not humans who need a little help. "Must be their own fault for doing something wrong because you don't need help, right?" Anyone getting something must be "getting it using YOUR money and you aren't getting anything". "Homeless people are ALL drug-using alcoholics who could get a job if they weren't too lazy."Don't tell me you didn't hear that growing up. They have conditioned everyone to be mad and hate everyone by convincing them the heroes would never do anything wrong.

Can police put anybody they want on a charge of interference, if they tell them to go away three times and they don't, AND not worry about having a charge against themselves later for a civil case to lose? The amount of feet you're allowed to miss knowing, legally? A judge could always assume that it's reasonable for a judge not to know the amount of feet, and so that's how they freaking get away with it? Unless there's a judge that doesn't have to deal with the cops and is courtroom anymore. And then someone has to sue for the amount of damage, and if it's not proven as intentional harm then there's nothing. Officers seem to always have "Reasonable Stupidity" as an defense.

@@IxNiLaTiS_33 actually, it appears (can't really tell without an overhead) that Casey was just curious as to what was going on. The officer let his ego get the better of himself and initiated a conversation which didn't go the way he expected or wanted, then got irritated and angry. Because he felt disrespected and usurped, he then just had to reengage, even though Casey had already moved on. Then as usual, he waited until he could escalate to violence. The officer was wrong all the way around and should have his certification revoked and his ability to carry weapons as a civilian permanently restrained: he is a danger to society. The department is liable, monetary for injuries cauesed to Casey, and should be required to pay him handsomely, no less than a seven figure. The only way these corporate law enforcers and departments will learn and change is to hit them where they understand: in their pocketbooks, and it has to be deep.
