The incredible power those things have, how well they work, and the impressive skill the operators seem to have (in both the loader and the dumper) is just unbelievable! Great video! I can't believe those monster things could work in (what looks like maybe) 5 ft of water - like it was nothing! Hah! No big deal! And brilliant, the way the dumper offloaded much of the water by driving off at a good clip up a slight slope. Very smart. 👍👍
Seen some of this equipment up in Alaska , working on the Haul road. It's impressive they work on that road every summer , most of it is not paved because of the perma frost . It's mostly all gravel road .

They are amazing machines , my Dad ran caterpillar heavy equipment, he taught me to run some of it when I was a teenager, the man was amazing to watch and work with, a master operater and teacher, He was as amazing as the machines were, one of the many great experiences I shared with my Dad. Thank you Dad for being the Best.
Yeah that's cool I drove A 966 log loader for a helicopter logging company and a 966 & 980 as a longshoreman in Alaska for the oil rigs. I keep a die-cast 966 in my office. 966 what a versatile machine!
Nope you're totally wrong the biggest and the most ingenious machine on earth is in Germany it's in a coal mining quarry it's the biggest bagger in the world

Nice to finally watch a good operator that doesn’t rock the bucket back and forward when filling. And isn’t frightened to tip when it’s not 100% inline etc....plus doesn’t reverse for bloody miles to line up with the dumper. Someone who isn’t frightened of their machine at last
Yeh he's making the job look easy and operating it with a lot less wear on all the components. Plus he won't be as fatigued at the end of day with no jolting around. Wise man!!
793 truck usually pairs with 994 loader in all tasks because they are in the same size class. I wonder if CAT will ever manufacture an even larger loader to pair well with the 797 truck.

25 to 57 yards. Let’s just put that into perspective for the novice viewer. The smallest bucket this behemoth is rated for is 25 yards. When you are driving down the road and you pass a dump truck, a ten wheel dump truck, it can carry around 12 yards at the most. Ten for sure. This loader can, depending on the material, fill that dump truck with a partial bucket. Video never does these machines justice. The bucket looks small, but it isn’t small.
Because it is small that's nowhere near 57 Yds 37 maybe The bottom Line is that loader can handle a great deal larger bucket this material and most others too
I drive CAT shovels for a living, but nothing this size 980s and under . The power CAT have developed at the operators instant control is very impressive and CAT is the Rolls Royce of Heavy plant machinery.
