The greatest male vocalist in the world and has been for the past twenty five years. I have seen him live 11 times from the front row, met him and his family and he is as gracious as he is talented. Amazing singer!

Mr Phelps was scheduled to sing one more song during the concert. But after this performance he was to emotionally drained to continue on. This is a true masterpiece performance.

What's beautiful about this song is, it's known worldwide. People can sing along in their own language and know exactly what's being said. And David Phelps, and the choir, bring out the emotions behind it so beautifully. You could almost say the whole world is feeling it with them.

He's part of the Bill Gaither Trio. Bill & Gloria wrote so many gospel songs in the 70's & 80's. I had the opportunity to meet them at a revival we had. All those people on the stage are well known gospel singers. Bill even added comedy into their performances. Listen & watch the video of Jesus on the main line.
David Phelps was part of Bill Gaithers gospel vocal band & all those people on stage are all part of the country gospel groups. It is a very loving community.
This was back in the year 2000. I have heard it 100's of times since and has not diminished in the least in its power and magnificence. It amazes me that people are still hearing this for the first time. 23 years from now I don't think you will be any less amazed and blessed by it.
Watching YOU worship along with David Phelps brought tears to my eyes. You are right. He doesn't just sing this (or any other song for that matter), he feels it. I have seen him perform O Holy Night live and it truly is a worshipful experience. I am so glad you discovered this incredibly talented servant of God.
Honey, I have listened to many music coaches critique David’s performances. Like yourself everyone is blown away at his God given talent and his ability to touch the souls of so many. I had never seen you before but I confess, I thought oh here we go another coach who will stop his singing every other stanza to comment on how perfect he hit the G4 or the B2, etc…. But to my delight and great pleasure you did neither. You praised the Lord right along with the rest of us and waited until the song was over until you commented on David’s performance. We learn that Gods throne is high and lifted up and is surrounded by numberless amounts of Angels singing praises and worshiping his holy name and the name of his holy child Jesus. I am sure he was there before he came to earth and will be there again when he leaves mortal life.
