It's not dismissiveness. First of all, him being old and white has nothing to do with it. This isn't in the US. Second of all, he has a meeting to run and there are rules to the meeting. If she doesn't say anything, the point is to say what you mean. And unlike the US, where they have the ability to just talk and talk and talk, over here you're on a timer. And by the way, it's a mistake that has led to failures in places like Afghanistan or Iraq, precisely because US policy makers ignored the differences and expected people to react the same way they would in the US. It's just not the same thing. I'm European and when I look at the US, some things are indeed familiar, but there are a lot of things that are very different culturally. Somewhat true, particularly that racism isn't the primary factor. However, your main point is undermined by the fact that Israel just isn't geopolitically relevant to the US. It has no hydrocarbons. The population is tiny. All Israel has to offer the US is a military outpost, but we have plenty of those in more important countries, like Quatar or Kuwait or the UAE, not to mention the NATO bases in Turkey. Israel is not about geopolitics. Israel is about domestic politics. Primarily support and votes from US Christian Nationalists and, most importantly, AIPAC money.

While it's true that colored people are far more sympathetic towards the Palestinian plight, compared to whites overall, that is predominantly a result of them existing in the liberal/progressive media space. That is evidenced by the fact that support for that cause, amongst whites in the same media bubble, is just as high. There is no difference based on skin color. It's the media they trust that makes the difference. If we consider the entire US population, which includes people who consume mainstream or right wing media, things look different. Outside liberal/progressive media, people are given a completely different view on what is playing out in Gaza. Even in the circles that really couldn't care less about Palestinian suffering, like Christan Nationalists, their lack of support is a result of their religious indoctrination rather than skin color. That's not to say racism plays no role at all. It's just not the primary factor.

There is still a humanitarian need and protection. There is still conflict going on in Syria. In Darfur, children are dying of malnourished, and women are facing sexual violence. The US has given money to Yemen, Darfur, and Syria in humanitarian aid. The US provides a lot of humanitarian aid to other countries.

I know that the Germans and others still feel guilty and feel like they have to compensate Israel (and Jews implicitly) for WW2, but a free pass for excessive use of force isn't it. Also, from a strategic standpoint... where is this going? They think that what? After this, Hamas will never do it again? No, they'll be angry and do it even more. Violence begets violence. Netanyahu is merely making things worse for themselves and they'll fall in the same old trap of "you did it first, you made it worse" that keeps a cycle of violence going over and over again. Netanyahu can't fight absolutely every country around him over and over again and he's making some enemies right about now.
