@HorseSaddleRider Of all the exercises described in the Shall We Dance text, this is the most powerful, effortless, fast-track joint stretching, activation, mobilisation and proprioceptive technique, covering a wide range of elements from the rider needs analysis. It will facilitate and address stiffness and, in turn, asymmetry simply by lying on a semi-firm surface. It will help the rider to achieve a ‘standing-kneeling’ riding position for whole body stability and activate the muscles required for lumbopelvic mobility and stability. It will also help prepare the back muscles for balanced muscle tone and development. It may even be all the preparation that some riders need before riding. Some riders will benefit from this technique after riding if they have had a strenuous session.
