Great technique really. But I've notice that to color things black it's better to change the beldning mode to (Darker Color) rather than (Darken) as it gets rid of unwanted colors pixelating the image.

You are a born teacher! :) Sadly, this method isn't working for me... I'm trying to change the color of a gray cereal bowl to white (the customer didn't like the gray bowl)... and I was like, NO PROBLEM! wellllll.... I jumped the gun, I need to find a method of convincingly changing the color of that bowl instead of swapping it out for a white bowl google image :)

I tried this tutorial and it started out working great! But after I darken the dress by lowering reds and magentas, I don't know how to bring up the reds in her face again! Am I missing something?

easy to follow, but didn't work on my image. Once I got to a dark eggplant color, I started losing definition of the fabric... next level was just flat black. Oh well.
