As someone who is going to be going down the DIY solar pathway soon I appreciate this video .

We have a 5.6 kw of solar panels on our house, 6kw inverter and 4.6 kw Battery, it’s helping us out a lot with rising energy costs in the UK. We are connected to the grid for both gas and electric, we sell back the power we can’t use to the the grid. The last 2 months our every costs have been less than £15 a month.

I had a 9.9 kw system for my house on the ocean but sold that house and never recouped the initial expenditure. You are doing it right in my book. Start small and manageable then grow as you need to. Nice yard of fowls in that pen. Glad you had success!

I have pretty much same unit (Not the same brand but they are all made by VoltronicPower in china and is sold under different brand names). My unit is 5.2KW and has been running non-stop for the last 3 years trouble free. Had to take it down once for cleaning but apart from that, its been quite reliable. Congrats for setting this up.

I have a mttp all in one it's on its second year & I like it & iam off grid as well oh & it will also save u in gas cuz generator charge batteries when u have to use it & ur get more power for later that's the way to go

Sweet! I have two of those SunGold 6500 units sitting in the boxes. I will be setting them up in a couple weeks on my off-grid property. Will be paired up with about 8KW of bifacial panels and 2 Trophy 48V 100AH batteries. I am looking forward to getting it all setup.

We just installed a dual EG 6500 EX system for 240 split phase for the house we're building. We bought 2 EG4 Powerlife batteries so we've got a 13kw system with 11kwh storage. Found some CanadianSolar 445 Watt bifacial panels from SanTan Solar in Arizona and got a dozen of those. Now we've got to clear the top of a hill for our solar array. It's a lot of work, but worth it when you can generate all the power you need for yourself.

Thats a Voltronics unit. Same as the MPP LV6548. Parallel two of them for 240V. Your a damn strong girl to handle that heavy battery! Congrats!

Great video guys , Doing so well , Can you do a short video detailing more of the solar system , re solar panels and battery's , costs etc .. That would be very helpful

You'll get a much better price for the exact same inverter design (same design, same parts, same warranty) by purchasing a Sigineer Power Off Grid 48V 6500 all in one inverter charger. Both Sungold Power and Sigineer Power are made by the same manufacturer, but the Sigineer Power inverter cost's far less.

Nice video. I did see that that inverter is clone of MPP Solar inverter. I would suggest : 1. take that remote control unit out of the main inverter..it will cool it more and you will not bump into that start switch ..maybe not your concern but it was mine.. also check that it isn't too hot close to those Lan cables ..that is where main 7805 is placed and it gets hot.. 2. mine unit 11kW has 3 fans and they are on all the time..so for sure you want to be sure you will move it out ..as it get pretty loud when it is on full throttle :).. 3. btw it is pity that they didn't explain better that when you want to change output voltagefrom 220-240V it is possible only in off mode..it frustrated me ..till i was able find it out :) 4. make sure your room is clean and there isn't dust..as gets in pretty fast..there is input filter..so if nothing else clear it pretty regularly..i would say weekly..(it is new constr..so a lot of dust i would imagine ) 5. I added hole into right side of that blue removable panel..I hope it will improve cooling of this unit..and then added mesh ..that is used to PC ventilators.. So far i have positive experience with the unit as well.. ofc that software you mentioned..well it isn't much ..i would say trash..is better word..but that isn't as much important ..It works and that is important.. Btw i notice consumption isn't so small..so that is con in this case..you make sure you size your battery accordingly..

next time buying 2/0 cable buy welding cable .... much cheaper than battery cable...check the prices...I was replacing the Positive batt cable in a 67 shelby ..(battery is in the trunk) battery cable 26"ft was almost 100 us... welding cable 2/0 was 3o+ us... `1/3 the price
