It turns out that only the black&white version of the shoe have the plastic buckle. Thanks to this video I cancelled my order (which was exactly as yours) and reordered it in another color!
I bought these 2 years ago. They're great for squat, and overall solid shoes. There's only one bad thing about them. You can't clean them. Don't know what material is that white thing in front, but you can't maintain that and clean it, mission impossible
I'd definitely recommend them for squats. I've repped out close to 4 plates in these and they feel really solid. Can't make a claim regarding weightlifting since I'm a powerlifter. Wouldn't recommend for deadlifts - the raised heel is a disadvantage when pulling. Hope this helps!
any views on orthotics (custom insoles) for these shoes? I need custom insoles mostly for midfoot support but also arch support (flat feet). My insoles don't have a very thick heel but the arch is.
I've never tried orthotics with these shoes, so can't say for sure how well they'd fit, but they are a bit on the roomy side compared to say Adidas Powerlifts, so I'd say it's worth a try.
@@ManFactoryLife Thanks for the input, gonna see if I can order some soon. There ain't really shops around here that have weightlifting shoes so I'm forced to order online. But for orthotics, I indeed need a bit roomier shoes, especially around the arch area.
Cracks me up when ppl buy all this special gear like shoes, straps, grips, belts, and other bullshit when they’re clearly novices and don’t need it. Bust your ass for 5 years and get actually strong first, then buy the gear to break through plateaus. If you’re struggling to squat 225 for 5-10 reps, you don’t need special shoes. But people want to think they’re cool so 🤷🏾♂️
