I wonder when the BRUTE showdown was filmed because there is a huge difference in her physique. She was in great shape then but she looks even more ripped here, very impressive.

The film was published in February 2019. It took place in Louisiana in warm weather so I suspect it was in the summer or fall of 2018.

Good timing! I'm doing legs today, so this gave me some things to think about, even as a guy. I actually can't squat right now because I hurt my shoulder and can't move it into the proper position without pain, so maybe subbing something like the hip thrust just for today to get the glute work going might make sense? Still gonna do my deadlifts, or at least attempt them, since the pain is when I move my shoulder back, not when I pick stuff up.

JackgarPrime why not just use the shoulder pad? They also have iron strength machines where you hold the handles and squat without anything being on your shoulders.

@@sharonl.peterson1589 We don't have those machines at my gym, assuming you're referring to something like the hack squat machine. There is a safety squat bar that I might be able to make use of, though.

@@sharonl.peterson1589 I went with the safety bar approach 5odat. Had to lower the weight a good 30 lbs, but I still felt some strong quad activation and it didn't aggravate my shoulder at all.

Weezeteer it depends on how you position your feet. Everybody’s anatomy is different, so like for me if I have my feet straight forward it targets my hamstrings more, whereas if I have my toes pointed out it fully targets my glutes

Damaris Zuckschwert I lifted in Germany today and almost died on bench because I thought 1.5 lb=1 kilo but it is 2.5 lb= 1 kilo

Instead of doing belt squat why don't you just do normal barbell squats, it seems kinda pointless to me

Rhodes she's not using that much weight so it wouldn't be too taxing on the back,I think it's just a goofy exercise

Jorge Nemist You don’t need to go heavy every single workout. It’s just another squat variation that creates a deficit (which makes it hard to go super heavy on them anyways) and places a lot of emphasis on your lower body to get you out of the hole which is a good supplement for regular barbell squats. Not goofy at all.
