I hope you'll reply to this. I'm thinking of getting an adapter because I'd like to make a loft bed setup in my room. I was wondering if the connection between the sending and receiving adapters would be interrupted if another electrical appliance is turned on during internet usage.

this only works in some homes you have to have great power lines or it will frees up

Doe Doe Bird it works with every house it just depends on which one you bought. I recommend buying the NETGEAR - Powerline 2000 + Extra Outlet, I get 0 ping on everyday recommend buying it.

After looking through the question section in Amazon the answer seems to be: Yes. Connection should showed as wired. Time to give it a try.

I have the exact same one but mine randomly gets huge lag spikes. Sometimes it's totally fine, other times huge lag. I was playing RL using the powerline adapter last night for a couple hours and was getting consistent 50-70 ping which is totally fine...and then I try to play today and I'm getting 200-400 ping which is basically unplayable. My LED jumps from green to red constantly and I don't know whats causing it. I understand the adapter uses the powerlines within the walls and that certain electronics can cause noise, but I just don't know what it is that messes me up...I just can't pin point it.

Oh no don't tell me that! I was considering getting one for rocket league too because my wifi connection is super unstable and will give me lag Spikes like you described and I was hoping a wired connection would make it more stable.

I think you should get a gaming router for improved signal. You should test that and see if it resolves the issue.

I have a wired connection, but I couldn’t connect it to my modem since it was very far away, so will my Ethernet cable connect to this power line adapter if I plug it in my room?

Then this is the perfect solution for you, the powerline kit comes with two adapters. Connect one to a power outlet in your room and connect the other unit to a power outlet next to the modem and you're good to go.

So I don't have an Ethernet port in my house, I actually am unable to go to my local internet provider to get WiFi either, can I buy this and plug it into my PS4 and game without the contracts and stuff of a company

You don't need WiFi, but you do need some type of Internet service. You'll get two powerline adapters, you'll want to plug one in directly to your internet modem provided to you by your internet service provider and then just plug into the nearest power outlet. The other powerline adapter you'll connect it directly to your PC or laptop through the ethernet port and then plug it in to the nearest power outlet and you'll be all set.

Ethernet is best, powerline is almost as good, but definitely better than WiFi.

I know nothing about powerline adapter but how does it work, do you pay for monthly fee or something like that? Or it’s just a boost for internet

There is no monthly fee. You just need to buy the equipment. It basically uses your house electrical wiring to carry the network signal. I would say that in order of best performance it would be wired ethernet, powerline, and then Wifi last. If you are going to do gaming, I suggest going either wired ethernet or powerline.

There are a lot of reasons why WiFi extenders may not work well, including walls that may block signals etc. Powerline adapters work differently in that they use your house electrical wiring to transfer the data signal.

Ethernet cable is always better, but sometimes you can't run ethernet cable from room to room for various reasons and thats when these powerline adapters come in handy as they are a better option than WiFi.

It comes with two wall plugs. you connect one to an electrical outlet near your internet router and then connect it to your internet router with an ethernet cable. The second unit you connect to an electrical outlet near your computer and then connect it to your computer with an ethernet cable. The communication then uses your home's electrical wiring to transmit data.

I actually have these same ones and I bought because my sons ps4 wifi internet speed was slow these more than doubled his download and upload speeds and they are on different floors and I live in a 1998 partial brick 2500 sq ft home.

It might, it will definitely be a more stable connection than Wifi. It also depends on your house electrical wiring...if your house was built not too long ago then it will work good, but if your house was built before say 1950, you may have problems.
