You found what we call 'The Golden Middleway'. PowerPoints used to be dull and the onlinesites like Prezi took it to the next level but in our enthusiasm we got carried away and the animations got primary and stole the focus from the original message. You found back to the roots and shows a way where the animations still have the wau-factor but don't steal focus from the messages. Thank you so much!

You did it again! I teach EFL and one of my courses includes describing visual information. I had no idea it was possible to animate this way...... I've always created the charts manually if I wanted to animate like this. I knew I could link between Office Apps, but this is something else. Thanks so much Leila! I have presented graphic illustrations of data in a former life but I don't do these types of presentations any more. Great to learn though. Don't know if I'm falling for the lesson or the teacher. @):-
Hi Leila.. thanks for the tips on linking EXCEL charting to animations in PP. Your techniques of controlling information flow and attention of the audience during a presentation are enlightening. Most of us just get up there and throw down the data and analysis. You show how subtle manipulations of the approach can engage and entertain the audience while delivering the message. Excellent! Stock in and out in one database , and when you type the issue in a separate sheet you should get a FIFO based/ Expiry date based issue ticket for an item. Kindly help

Great video. I 100% agree. Thanks Leila Everything in a presentation should be focused on the Aim of the presentation and reinforce the message. Animations, transitions, colours, style and method of the presentation and even the presenter, should all be considered a part of the communication of information...for the specific purpose of inspiring and ACTION on the part of the target audience. Unfortunately this is rarely the case and as a result many hours of otherwise productive time is wasted...
