3M Duralock mushroomhead velcro. That way you can yank it off if needed. Great adhesive but on plastic I put a couple dabs of superglue. I upgraded my batt momitor to TBD after seeing your video on it. I did add a little voltmeter with dumb soc meter just to see at a quick glance.
looks great. I know of a few 20 and 30 amp solar charge controllers that will fit inside, may need ferrite on wires , I do that to all by stuff . I put master switch on mine. still a very nice battery box. I could not find nice hi current switch either so just used power Worx disconnect switch. good over 100 amps. 73's
I'm clumsy, so I expect I'm going to break things. When I built my battery box I protected the back of my panel mounts witch some of the dark gray stiff packing foam. I worry about the batteries shifting and messing up my panel mount connections. Nice box!
NB5Z- Regarding the plastic thickness, you might try starting from the back with a paddle bit to a depth of about 1/;8" then use your step from the other side. Size the paddle bit a little larger. This will give your a recess for the barbs on the switch base. Just a thought Mike. Thanks for the video.
Great Battery Backup Box but Do what I am doing for the small switch I am using a 12 volt relay 30/40 amp from Amazon for my Ham Radio Go Box am thinking about hooking up a remote switch to power it. 73 K4BWN
That's gonna depend on a lot of variables but assuming it's a 50 watt VHF mobile that draws ~0.5 amps on RX, it would last about 8 days just receiving. Can't really tell you more than that but obviously less when you start transmitting.
