I forgot to mention that powershielding an attack also has a larger window! You can powershield from frames 1-4 on an attack, and only 1-2 on a projectile without using Z-powershielding (a concept for another day). Sorry to have left that info out, this was like my 30th take of the video and I was just happy to get the info out there LOL
@@sujetonormal3399 He doesn't, he does have one shoulder button set to digital only though. So he doesn't have to worry about analog input messing his PS's up. Zain uses a combo of dash-backs and crouches to make his PS's incredibly consistent. Definitely doesn't use z, though. Don't spread disinformation. Not sure why you thought he did.
Thanks for making this video! It was clear, concise, and it's helping get rid of Melee misconceptions. Don't you think it's interesting that Yoshi can't interrupt his guardoff in this way? I guess he gets no shield stun, though, so it kind of balances out.
thanks for these, I definitely appreciate melee content in terms of explanations and how the game works as most things are a bit outdated and left open ended. Mad props.
Wassup ginger, can you do a video on mang0 lasers when in corner? I can't find any resources on how to do them or when is a proper time to do them. Love the content, thanks
Items fall into the projectile category so powershielding them will not incur shield stun, but you are unable to act out of guardoff. The easiest way to remember what is a projectile is by considering if powershielding reflects it back at the opponent.
@@alexwood9941 Oh, interesting question! I wasn't sure, but I checked in 20xx and, at least for what I tested (Falco shine vs. shield), you can hold shield for 3 extra frames after shield stun ends and still retain the ability to act out of shield release (GuardOff).
