#TuneInTuesday Episode 147! 😷 Are face masks still polluting the ocean and the environment ?? 😷 Last year we saw the emergence of a new yet prolific pollutant... PPE! Almost instantly after we were advised to wear PPE, it was littered into the environment in vast quantities.... We've been monitoring the amount of PPE we've been finding on our litter picks and beach cleans here in North Cornwall, and, last year, we spent a huge amount of time raising awareness of this issue and the threat that it has to the environment... Now, roughly one year on from the introduction of mandatory face coverings in public spaces, we thought it was time to check back in and see if the issue is still very much around! And... with recent changes to the regulations around wearing face masks, and an increase in the amount of people getting out and about here due to the busy Summer season, we were expecting some super interesting findings!
