Sir a term baby,36 hrs of life on CPAP requiring fio2 55prcnt having echo feature of pphn. Should we treat or wait for day 3 for spontaneous decrease of pul vascular resistance?
Sir i am from bihar and my newborn niece couldn't survive after 3 days of birth due to severe pphn and we have faced this case twice, first case was happened in delhi and 2nd was in patna bihar. Please help me out i have met few reputed dr but they can't treat
Sir my 10 day preterm baby born at 32 week 1 day is diagnosed with pda 2.2 mm , vsd 5 mm , and severe pulmonary hypertension ( neonatal) , doc says he will close PDA with medicine. I have a question that of Vsd will also be closed via surgery can it correct or improve pulmonary hypertension?
Please discuss with the treating physician and trust them, as treating PDA is a complex issue. Most of the VSDs do not required surgical closure. They close spontaneously. Hope this helps
