Prabhuram Vyas Interview With Baradwaj Rangan | Lover | Lights Camera Analysis 

When you are part of an egalitarian ecosystem like college, you gauge a person either by his "looks" or popularity parameter. That's how infatuation is. That's probably why Arun and Divya hit it right off when they met during the college function. You don't realise class differences, personality differences or family background issues when you are inside that bubble. Reality hits when you step out. Divya slowly realises they are from two different walks of life. Arun's insecurity and low- esteem starts suffocating her. She feels trapped in an endless loop of abuse and she wants to fly free. The interval point where she gets called a "who**re" is the trigger. She feels she no longer has the love for that person after that point. So subtly conveyed. Post- interval, it's all about Arun's redemption but Divya's mentally out of that relationship. The climax is a beautiful moment too. Arun gives that "apple pie" not to patch up but to say that she doesn't have to feel guilty about leaving him and that she has helped him put his life together. He thanks her for that and respectfully moves away from her desk giving her the much needed closure she sought.

I just watched this movie today and I was hoping you will interview him. Thank you Baddy! You never fail to excite and share valuable knowledge to all film lovers.

Aishu was the best 'Character' in the film. Initially, it feel like we/I would love an Aishu to aid relationships. But, my takeaway is that at some point, we all need to our own Aishus to make ourselves capable of handling relationships.

Two things i wished they talked about: 1. The couple's therapy thing, the hero says he is ready for it and she has been telling him from before that they need it. 2. He wears the same shirt during date thing where he makes her cake and during her birthday, i don't know whether it was intentional or not but if it was it's so true because when u are in a relationship u tend to repeat the clothes which ur partner likes Still a wonderful interview 🎉🎉🎉

Watched Lover yesterday on hotstar, since I didn't had courage to watch it in theatre. Pushed me and watched it yesterday. I loved it. Movie is not what the reviewers told ! Movies is not what the incels uploaded in their status. Movie was so much depth and much matured! I have loved his Livin series, loved his deput film too. 🥰🥰🥰

The narrative adeptly navigates the intricate challenges faced by Arun, shaped by his mother's lingering pain and efforts of Divya to bridge the gap and convey her own emotions and tribulations. We all have been through the immature emotions and the preaching by the society to have a control over our partner. The movie breaks a lot of streotypes. No female mockery nor glorifying toxicity. I love how the story travels throughout with a balance and seemed unbaised to me atleast. We should celebrate these kind of films so the template becomes unbaised and also female mockery becoming a commercial element must be stopped for good. I personally loved the metaphorical scenes. A well written masterpiece

Excellent point by the director on audience clapping hand when Manikandan said “I don’t have to prove you”. First time felt baddy behaved like a boomer guy (no offence BR😅, I’m still and will always be your follower) bcoz I’m one of those few ppl who clapped not becoz I idolised manikandans character, but I felt that was his redemption point. Because by that time we have seen enough of mani and Gouri life and all the decisions they took were bad. For the first time Gouri broke her communication barrier and compared Manikandan to his father , which was her redemption moment and this was his. Audience have changed baddie and you are one of the reason for ppl thinking beyond a stereotyped heros.😊

Didn’t enjoy the movie much but did get irritated everytime the girl changed her mind, I guess that’s where the movie scores. Till the end I was hoping she doesn’t succumb. Thankfully. Could’ve been shorter.
