I'm excited to get back out there with Paul and Hannah and get some practice in. Playing my first tournament setup and on the oldest course was pretty dope. I learned a lot from this round and even though my form is still not where I want it to be, it felt good to start slowly incorporating the x step run up. Still lots to work on.

Brodie is bout to go places in the disc golf world. I'm a pretty atheltic guy who picked up disc golf almost 4 years ago and while I'm not complete trash Brodie is already murdering me after a couple months. Its pretty gross actually... but im enjoying every minute of it.

for ten years I played maybe 3 times a year. I introduced a few friends to the game last fall and now I'm(we're) playing 3, 4 times a week. my point is, dust those old discs off and get to the park.

Putting is looking great, backhand is looking gravy, only thing I think you need to shore up before you can start competing and taking home some good numbers is your forehand drives. Otherwise you're already an extremely impressive player for someone who is just picking up the sport recently (Even with ultra experience). Keep it up Brodie!

Just want to say I love the content you put out! I started watching to try and get better at golf so I could compete with my fiancé and her little sister! (They both played First Tee and made it to state in high school and I just picked up clubs around a year ago.) Never heard of disc golf until you put out these videos and I gotta say I’m a huge fan! I’ll be ordering some dark horse discs in the near future!!

Brodie's just learning the x-step run-up, the biggest thing I've noticed in his run-up is he's planting his plant foot at a 45 degree angle to the target, instead of a 90 degree angle as Paul, Hannah and the pro's do. Quite a bit of energy from the windup to the release is leaked by doing so, IMHO.

My only recommendation is what ever you score, look at people who score similar, take their rating and subtract about 50 (at least). Most people ive seen start off the way you are have always ended up about 50 Points of rating below what they think just based off score. The thing to take into account is tournament atmosphere is way different than casual. So you may be able to score that consistently in practice but in a tournament settings you typically have more stress and sometimes take risky shots to recover and all. Just a recommendation, not fact. My average over 5 tournaments was actually 100 points off of what I thought I'd be using the similar score method. But hope to see you in some tournaments on the east coast!!

To be fair I am so impressed by your development in such a short period of time. Comparing your game from the Paul vs Simon vs you video from last year to your game now, all I can say is wow. It really shows that if you pur your mind into something everything is possible, and I guess being really good at throwing frisbee and being athletic doesn't really hurt either. Or the fact that you are actually learning from the best in the game, which has been really cool to see as well. Keep pumping out the content Brodie, it's been a huge pleasure watching your journey to this point and hopefully we get this kind of coverage from you in the future. Keep slinging those discs 🤙

And then, when you had that late release on hole seven, I think that was because you were a little lazy on your reach back. For me, I like to imagine that my release point is going to be 180 degrees from where ever my reach back was. So if I don’t reach back enough, I’m going to release late, if I over rotate or curl my arm too much, I’m going to release early.

There’s definitely still some air bounce in your forehand, which I assume is a carry-over from ultimate. For my two cents, I would say it comes down to too much arm and not enough wrist. That’s probably an over simplification because your wrist speed is probably amazing, but the idea is that you want to tuck your elbow in to your body more. I would say find definitely find someone who can coach you on your forehand, because you’re a natural and it would only take a little bit of work before it’s a serious weapon that you have in your arsenal.

Dude you are so good for not having started that long ago. Your putting is great. It is going to be awesome watching your progress. I know you have access to much better resources than random people on the internet. But I noticed on your very first throw you are keeping your head forward. Which is understandable but you'll probably have to get used to taking your eyes off the target eventually. Because of this you aren't getting your shoulders turned back far enough and taking a lot of your body out of the shot and not getting a full reach back. But it'll all come with repetition! Also maybe I'm wrong and just have a bad angle or I'm just stupid so probably don't listen to me.

Just curious, have they ever given you a hard time about talking during shots? I know in normal golf people get pissed if you talk during a back swing, but I'm guessing disc golf is WAYYY more laid back haha.

Hannah just needs to let her shoulder "automatically" pull her head back by pushing her chin instead of snapping it back "manually" before her backswing forces her to every time. It would add a lot of consistency.

I've been really enjoying seeing you put your game together. I'm not from an ultimate background but in the UK (London) it's really noticeable how easily ultimate players pick up disc golf. What they all seem to have are great snap and arm speed. You seem to have both in abundance so a really solid base. Now it's all about angles and disc selection. Good luck in your journey.

I used to think paul was lucky because of Hannah... Now i think hes smart for putting a ring on it, and Brodie is lucky because he is handed my dream life. I play equally as well or better yet have to struggle for opportunity to play. P.s. brodie is 100% into hannah and it shows in every video with her in it and its not a bad thing because he shows her alot of respect. Yall are awesome. Brodie you're trying too hard with the forehand drivers... your form is sooooo clean on the putter shots on the forehand side... but you're throwing soooooo nose up. Once that little hitch gets fixed you're gonna be BOMBING forehands.
