Congrats PreLoaders. It's great how each lesson builds on the previous. We (viewers) can see the progress! Warren KNOWs NO FEAR! Much respect to you Warren.
It’s my pleasure. 😊 Thank you for watching and hopefully you’re subscribed to my RU-vid channel!👍🏾😊 ru-vid.com I’m happy that my channel has been helpful to you! That makes all the time and effort that I put into this so worthwhile!
Great video...I live outside Milwaukee WI. Come up for the 120th celebration and teach us a class here! I'll come for sure! I'm going to a parking lot today to start practicing. I have my practice cones and tape measure
Preload, use the clutch and back break to control and you will succeed. I think of it as though you are driving a manual vehicle and as you slow down the clutch is pressed to prevent the vehicle from shutting off.
Was looking at some crash bars never have had any before looking at putting them on a sportster but wondered if it effects the total lean that you're able to do?
Guys, you did a great job; don’t give up practicing…here’s a practice test, before you leave your home, do a u-turn in front of your house; or a side street. Every time you ride your bike, make it a habit to do a u-turn.
@@DNiddy I’ll work on those videos … preload and keep it loaded and turn your head in the opposite direction and HOLD!!! Once you’re in the friction zone, HOLD!!! You’re preloaded, your in the friction zone … HOLD IT. Keep throttle constant and keep clutch level constant. At this point you should be moving and gaining speed. Turn your head and HOLD. Control you’re speed with the rear brake only!!! I think it’s 100% muscle memory and I think I’ll prove it by doing a u-turn blindfolded. Not on a public road of course.😁 I get on my electric unicycle and just ride now; I don’t have to think about it; I just do it. And the do it part comes from practice practice practice practice practice. My neighbors probably think I’m showing off because I do u-turns and figure-8’s so much on my street. But the truth is, the more you practice, you get that much better, your muscle memory of u-turns keeps improving and you’ll find yourself being able to do u-turns with minimum throttle input because you can feel the minimum amount of power you need to the rear tire to make that u-turn. I think the best part is when you get ready to park, you see 3 parking spaces so you do your u-turn in the 3 parking spaces, and then back up the bike a few feet. You don’t have to do park that way, but a Boss Can Park That Way 😁
2:23:12 Ouch no rear crash bars! $1000 worth of damage practicing not to do $1000 worth of damage. I knew it was coming, he just kept pushing it when he wasn’t proficient enough. No reason to think you have to make 16’ u-turns your 1st day.
Hello Robert, my name is Andy Griffin (no joke, I will show my DR license when I C U) I was wondering if you ever come to around the D othan AL area. I am a fan and I suppcribe to your channel. I am a fan. So please give more information cause I love the way you teach. Thanks
Hey Andy. Thank you for watching and subscribing to my RU-vid channel!👍🏾😁 I’ve been trying to do something in the Atlanta area. I’ve had several people tell me they could get me a location but I haven’t heard back from any of them. Good news! You can now add yourself to the email notification list. I am Brazilian, I live in Recife-PE Congratulations on your channel, know that you are helping many bikers outside the US too, like me. In this exercise, I have some doubts: 1. Is the clutch in the friction zone? 2. Should we brake lightly throughout the turn? 3. which gear, 1 or 2?
Thank you for watching and hopefully you’re subscribed to my RU-vid channel!👍🏾😊 ru-vid.com I’m happy that my channel has been helpful to you! That makes all the time and effort that I put into this so worthwhile! Which exercise are you referring to?
Hi Robert i'm getting ready to go out for my first practice ride in a parking lot across the street from my house. I finally got my motorcycle yesterday, this was two years in the making. Any last minute tips. Thx. Pat
Thank you for watching and hopefully you’re subscribed to my RU-vid channel!👍🏾😊 ru-vid.com Congratulations on the new motorcycle! Practice the Warm Up Exercise and get comfortable with it
Great channel, new subscriber here. Can anyone tell me what brand half helmet (beanie) Robert wears? It looks the best of any I've seen. I've tried looking through some videos, but can't find the info.
Thanks Robert for the quick reply! I see they have a few different models. Which is the one you use? On closer look, it looks like you have the Twister model with the lip. Thanks.
Robert is a great teacher BUT he pushes his students through these exercises too quickly just to make a video and the result is way too many dropped and often damaged bikes and possibly injuries. You shouldn’t be on exercise #7 if you still can’t control your clutch and throttle, lean the bike and use your head and eyes. You’re better off watching his videos and spending days practicing to get to exercise #7 and beyond. I’ve been doing these exercises for a few days and have yet to drop my bike and I don’t move on until I master each exercise. I feel sorry for the students who want to learn these techniques and end up going home on a damaged bike, the very thing they were trying to avoid. No reason to be pushed through all these in an afternoon just for video content. If nothing else if they can’t successfully complete an exercise proficiently he shouldn’t let them move on to the next for the safety of the student.
