This trick is mostly a mental battle as said in the vid. In addition to nose grabbing back in, doing blunt to rock can be helpful as well. I think a lot of people who are afraid to do this trick can’t commit and end up taking their back foot off the board after popping to catch themselves. Doing blunt to rock teaches your brain to keep your feet on the board after you pop the blunt and watch your back wheels go back into the ramp. If you can blunt to rock, you literally just did everything you need to do to do a regular blunt to fakie.
was thinking this i got into a bluntstall last night and was surprised but i couldn’t pop in for shi, i was thinkin of try blunt to rock but i ended up trying sumn else but i gotta go back to try it forsure
I learned this with the help of this video last year, did about 20 of them, then didn't skate for a while and I'm still battling to get it back! Must have jumped off a hundred! If you get it, keep practicing people! At least once a week. It's so psychological!
small one definitely. learned it on a small wooden miniramp. took me some tries to commit and when i did i slipped out but since it was wood it didnt hurt and i got it the next try. also make sure it has a coping since you can gain more power upon grabbing/popping out because the lock-in is much more stable.
Sick vid bro if you are looking for ideas for videos you should make specific vids for every kickflip into grind or slide I’d watch the shit out of that
I rolled my ankle SO bad trying these! Scares the shit of me ever since. Bums me out.... great video. Now I gotta try again. See you in the E.R. I'M KIDDING, I'M KIDDING!
Would anyone agree that this trick is a bit easier on a bigger transition? Like 5ft. and above? Little more room to stabilize the landing...... just a thought. I can't do it. ✌
I skated for years, was pretty decent, and never was really that scared of much until I tried learning blunt fakies and broke my fkn arm. Since then everything is scary. Even an ollie off a curb is scary now because this trick lol. Pro career ruined just like that :(
