The way it is written at the end I thought it said: "mom-year". Got kind of confused, new chapter? Luckily that just means I don´t have to be affraid of losing my mind anymore. It has already happened. This is just some aftermath, I get things wrong sometimes, when I start to believe I am 'normal' (whatever that means).. I have been almost continously terrified most of last year after a stroke. There was a mantra (just something I made up in the hour of need, nothing official) that helped. I would just repeat: "I am safe and everything will be allright".. 30-50 times.. Just making it part of my breathing. I am safe (in) everything will be allright (out).. Then, when I could just about believe it, I switched to "I am safe and everything IS allright".. (Me not being entirely real as a limited being, my mind didn´t "see" boundaries in objects at that point, so that helped.. so what I am, is limitless and that IS safe and IS allright, always being not allright is just a harmonious part of it all).. And then after repeating that for 10 or 20 times I switched back to being full on affraid as a limited person and to: "I am safe, it already happened" I was always immensely affraid that whatever I feared would happen between those sentences and when it didn´t, I´d end with just "thank you" (usually crying at that point and repeating it until I fell asleep). This got me through about 90-100 consecutive nights (and days, but mostly the nights) when I was certain I was dying, because all my neurons were firing and I felt everything I could possibly feel all at the same time for hours on end, there is really no way to describe it, but it was way worse than the worst thing I could ever think off before, so much worse it was surreal, I could never remember what happened until it got much lighter and I could write it down and read it afterwards.. Now these episodes are all but gone. I get headaches and a bit confused sometimes.. At this point, there is not much fear left. But I still get stressed sometimes out of habit, and immeadeately it´s like: look at me, being stressed, how wonderful, who would have thought that after one and a half year, you would stress about something like being late? And I feel the absolute luxury of entertaining fears, sadness, boredom, just experience itself.. Fear means your mind has the energy to resist and imagine a different situation than that you are in. Fear just means you are healthy, you are breathing and you have spare worry-energy.. After realising that fears kind of dissolves. At some point I found the "art of suffering" videos.. Highly recommended. Thank you all for singing for me, those many many nights.

If you feel that you are capable of handling fear, fear also gets capable of handling you. so not to recognize or identify and especially not to make it into a capability, just be is only possible and let fear do what it is meant to do and suffer less and minimize the damage could be possible. How Black and White or Color video has no effect on the quality of the master. He is the inner being that radiates out.

@@bille77 it seems like you are saying this in ignorance of Thich Nhat Hanh's life and what he experienced. He was a monk in Vietnam during the Vietnam War, and in calling for peace he was persecuted by the South Vietnamese government. He was accused of being a communist and at constant risk of arrest. This is an extremely scary environment to be in, but he never stopped advocating for peace even at risk to himself. Later he aided Vietnamese refugees in Singapore when they were being harshly rejected by the Singaporean government, and anybody who aided them was punished. These are the words of a man who has worked through his own fear and put himself in dangerous, frightening situations in order to help others. If anyone is qualified to speak about fear, he certainly is.

I was bullied as a teen. That rejection by my peers left me ruminating, feeling fearful of it happening again. I had so much anger and hate. As a 19-year-old, I shut myself inside my bedroom. I went to work, then went home and did nothing on the weekends. I missed so many summers, and who knows how many opportunities. I'm 39 now, and with therapy and reading books, I've just started to doubt fear is real.

I’m very sorry ur suffering. Do you have someone there to support you? If you can redirect ur attention from fear based thoughts about ur illness to something physically happening in the moment, such as ur breathing, the way water feels on ur skin and/or identifying 3 birds outside.. this will help you better cope with such difficult thoughts and feelings. Talking about what you’re thinking and feeling with someone you trust is also ultra helpful. I know this all is way easier said than done. However, training ur attention to focus on the moment over prospective threats will help your suffering while enduring such a difficult situation. I hope the best for You

Pain is only there to call you to listen. It is either a time to cry, and hopelessly fight to evade truth and reality,, OR, -a time to listen.. LISTEN. ‘What is to be heard?’.. your spirit, calls.. and if you can-not dig inwards, to the fiery roots of your heart - through all of the substrate of pain, then of-course, .. you will suffer in the void, in emptiness, with no meaning, no life, no being, nor presence.. ‘Light or Dark?’ - Every moment is your choice.

I can't stop "what is" from happening. But I can make it through or grow through "what is" happening. I do not fear death. When it is time, it is time. So until then, I want to enjoy life. No room for fear, here. Many blessings.
@Ludifant
@Ludifant 6 месяцев назад
I think there is always a part of me that will fear death. The I that thinks it is in the driver seat may think it no longer fears death, but the cells that support this I keep repairing, fighting disease, keep wanting to live. I still can´t voluntarily stop breathing or beating my heart, even if I tell myself I don´t fear death. We can deny this for very long. Consider that you can fear death and still live, even enjoy life. There is no mutual exclusion. Being fearful is also being vulnerable, which is a big part of living in surrender to and readiness for whatever comes.

Thank you for writing your thoughts. I honestly had forgotten about my original comment that I had written 3 weeks ago. But, the other day, I was thinking... there is nothing bigger than God. So what is there to fear? Nothing because nothing is bigger than God. Even in death, I will go to God. So if there is nothing to fear, then all that is left is to enjoy this gift of life I was given. I am in no hurry to go anywhere. There are so many things I want to experience in this life. I respect the natural process of the ending of one life and the beginning of another. I am at a point in my life where I want to exchange fear with trust. Thank you again for writing! Have a wonderful day!

It´s not true in the end - although you may get to know your fear in one or another way, it can come back, maybe you become closer to it, but it can make you anxious again. Hopefully not as large as in the beginning. The more you know your feelings, the more you can feel them through and till they disappear without stepping aside and trying to turn away, the more you know them, the more you can observe them and feel them, coming and going. You can´t make them disappear, but accept and let go again without suffering too much. Anyway: why not suffer a little bit from time to time? It´s natutral and makes you stronger, even lighter after some time. Take fear like fortune, it has to tell you much about life itself -- Greetings from Southwest Germany, between Rhine and Black Forest

Basis of Budhism is reincarnation and law of karma . The necessity of Budhism is impermanence sufferings and concept of no soul . Budhism guides us to stay in human world and in hells until final stage is attained 🙏🙏🙏
