Wow, kunai?! Would love to see how it can be used, very curious. Yeah, I am also very new to rope dart, not even two months into practicing it, and can’t find a master in my city, so yeah, have to learn from mistakes 😅😬
@@corpsemoon im doing more recording of my practice sessions too. I use a diy metor hammer in place of the dart or blade, for safety reasons. its on my channel.
@@ThreadedKinetic currently I am in love with this nearly 300g metal spear head, and occasionally I do use a 500g metal meteor hammer for momentum training. www.ebay.com/itm/204064587891?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=DB3AU8V0SyS&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=UQhtWomZSSi&var=504482605885&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
@@ThreadedKinetic in terms using your own creation, hmmm, interesting, I do have a tennis ball ver that I use when trying new moves, I do however insert metal chain into the tennis ball, with an aim to adding weight, and that tennis ball I’m using is currently sitting at 250g.
from someone who's just been getting into this....I Appreciate the Effort. ...and you were 'snap, crackle & pOppin' that thing Out, a few times there :D Sir...Good Job. Awesome. High Five :)
I’m looking to dive into this exciting world of rope dart very soon. Where could I buy the rope dart you use? Or any other rope darts of quality you could recommend?
Practicing this form of art for a while now, and I have to say that I prefer meteor hammer than dart. You can definite search meteor hammer, using eBay. I would recommend something not too light or too heavy. Personally, I quite enjoy 250g hammer/dart. Rope-wise, I find either 6mm or 8mm works well for me.
Oh and I highly suggest rubber hammer as your starting point. It’s safer. www.ebay.com/itm/165543306442?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=zbwir44fr8q&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
I have been using this one and quite like it: www.amazon.com/dp/B07CVL26KS/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=1IJP71E5K7GL6&keywords=meteor+hammer&qid=1697048180&sprefix=meteor+hamm%2Caps%2C586&sr=8-3
@@nesoberiblast5127 no worries. This is the runner one in action. I use it for indoor setting and when I am testing new moves: ru-vid.com0FBu7K2548g?si=b0eg67ple3X1Jpyu
@@corpsemoon aha yes I've already learnt that. Was just wondering if there was anything out there that I may have missed. That's why I go around asking people on youtube.
@@bcfr88 oh I see. Sorry about that. That tutorial video was such a great starter, was it not. So, after this, I began to “try” to define my own style, the style that focuses a bit more on body/neck wrapping/tangling, adding footworks, and shooting, which is kind of different from the style as proposed in that tutorial videos. So hmmm no, I don’t have other materials apart from utilizing my imagination and testing moves and of course lots of self-harm, unintentionally. Overall, one particular style I am avoid is the western, festival fire dance style and their focus on “flow”, I cannot agree with that. So I guess at the end of the day, it’s more about what you want your style looks like.
@@bcfr88 don’t know if you saw my most recent video, and that’s the style I am after at the moment: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IQZT1uFrY1U.html
