My story: When I tested Dior Sauvage EDT a few years ago, I liked it very much but the salesman told me that everybody's wearing Dior Sauvage amd told.me.to.buy instead the Prada Luna Rossa Carbon. Less harsh, less longevity but just quite nice. When the Dior Sauvage Parfum released and I test it I liked that the offensive ambroxan was almost disappeared and I found it overall more sophisticated and well blended. So I bought it. But unfortunately, it lasts about 1-2 hours and then It becomes a skin scent for another couple of hours and then it just doesn't exists anymore!! So my circle of Sauvage DNA was closed for ever!! Thanks!

Ah, shame. I really liked the Parfum and it lasted well on me. PLRC is my fave sauvage dna though.

Hey Steve, This another awesome video mate. Was itching to watch this video. The reason being, I LOVE Luna Rosa Carbon! Sauvage has never really interested me at all, the hype, expense and you not liking it has put me off even more, I've never smelled it but I really don't care to be honest, not when I have my TOP TWO houses, Bulgari a very close second place in the Prada house. To me Luna Rossa SCREAMS class, it's smooth and classy, on my skin the projection and scent train is HUGE, many compliments, I spray this on skin early in the morning and just before bed its still there, on clothes, PROPER beast mode! I LOVE IT!

Actually Ben is Talking Scents. 😂 But I couldn't agree more. In fact, when it was first released, it was easily one of my favourite designer scents of all time. On paper. Then I wore it and quickly became annoyed that is was so bleeding boring. My skin must've absorbed all the goodness and left me with a grey shoe. Needless to say, I'm a little surprised we don't have LRC Blu yet. Here's to the future. 🍺

I like more Prada Carbon because of the natural feel of lavender but asking some female friends, coworkers and mates, all says Dior Sauvage smells better. Also Carbon stays very close to the skin and nobody can smell you. So I end up wearing Sauvage more often.

I’m on the same bus with George and yourself about Sauvage, not my thing. The Prada however I do like, no “nose killing” note like in Sauvage EDT. 🤘🏽

You are right. I already have both. PRADA CARBOON is much smoother than SAUVAGE. Although they are similer, who hates one might love (not only like) the other.

I have a bottle and it's gotten the most use out of all my decants and bottles. The meh performance plays a part too I guess, because past the 2-3 hour mark it's a skin scent for me. I'm actually a little sad the metallic side doesn't come out in the sillage. It's a lavender-ambroxan-citrus in the air but it's the metallic skin scent that I love. I guess in a way the duality is nice. Ambroxan for the people around, metal for me.

No. It's supposedly similar to Midnight in Paris? Which I'm not a fan of. But then I fell into that trap with this and Sauvage!

Depends on what you like/want from a fragrance. Maybe just get samples of both and see which you prefer.

Thanks... do you suggest it or Acqua Atlantic of Bvlgari? Hope you did try Bulgari...i am confused what blue fragrance to get and i don't like Sauvage🤷 and BDC is everywhere...I used to like Y of YSL but suddenly stopped....i do like Dylan Blue but also is everywhere...i do have office for man clone of Alexandria... What do you think?

Personally I prefer luna rosa carbon over aqva Atlantiqve. The bvlgari is like a saltire version of sauvage, this is classier due to the amped up lavender.

I think I have done the same with this and wrote it off due to it’s comparison with Dior Sauvage. I actually have a sample up the cupboard, will give it a try today, thanks for giving me a nudge Steve.👍🏻🙏🏻

Personally I think yes, as imo it's better and it's got more of a soapy vibe going on. You can get a little official sample on ebay for £3. Maybe worth trying.

I love the incense and rose combo of luna rossa carbon, but nothing beats the animalic oud and leather that makes that rose dirty in dior sauvage!
