i wonder why it happens, i am sure most of the people are healthy. and even in classical music concerts there is a lot of coughing. does it happen when lot of people are in a small area? but it doesnt happen as much in cinema maybe cause its too loud that i dont notice or the duration is too small.

To all those saying pragg is either with a draw or losing, just look at his opponents for once. Its his first time playing against super GMs still he manages to draw games. And How well do you play against your 200 ELO higher rated opponents ? Edit: Pragg lost this game (ofcourse) and I'm talking about in general about his performance in the whole tournament.

Exactly. He's so young, yet he managed to draw with Nakamura, defeated Karjakin and in the past has defeated Wellesley. He just needs a bit more polishing and a lot more experience which can only come with time. People he's being competing with has been playing chess for more than 15-20 years and Praggu isn't even 15 years old yet. But hey, haters gonna hate.

@@itsthedaywalker nobody is taking praggna credit to play on such high level. He is youngest IM Vidit is very positional and defensive player Look at the position of vidit. King side is very safe. Mobility to queen and rook Mean while pragga stuck with it. On move 23( which was not last moves, game ws for 38+ moves) where praggna captured his rook on d then exchange. He gave vidit full control of d file then vidit able to close in. Which was not blunder but inaccuracy. So in any GM level of games, most of the times, you will not see any domination, but one blunder and game ends. Pragga is still prodigy. Soon will going to dominate ( recently defeated vidit in Asian continental )

Great play by Vidit, at one point both were fairly equal, when Vidit just kept improving his position, Qc6, pressuring weak pawns, and light squares on the king side until Praggu just gave up the d-file for lack of better alternatives and tried his hand at the e-file. Obviously it's blitz, but very instructive game for us patzers nevertheless..

To all those wish to know who won. Vidit won because you cant win a game against a queen with a rook .Vidit had Pragg's Pawn which was Pragg's counter for queen's sacrifice. Pragg couldnt get to promotion of his queen.

There is reason why they are GM and we are not. Rook has no good move. Rf1 Qe4 ... Rf3 Q*f3... Qg2 Q*g2 mate Rf2 Q*f2... Q*f2 R*f2.... I have put the situation on board and I analyzed, At 11:06 black could have done knight to f3 then it was check and force move to either capture black knight by white queen or king could have moved to f1 then knight can capture rook e1. Then giving check again with queen and putting white in worst condition.

one easy way to know who won is to see where the players put their kings at the end. If both kings are placed at black center squares, that means black won the match and vice versa. If white king is placed at the white square and the black king is placed at the black square, that means it's a draw.

New to chess... can someone explain what happened at the end? Did the young kid run out of time? Did he know he was beat and conceded the game? Was it checkmate and I didn't even notice??? It was so complex and fast paced to a beginner I didn't even understand half the moves. (Also if you use one of the players names in your response if you could clarify which player you are talking about either the younger kid or the young adult that would be great because I don't know either of their names so I wouldn't be able to tell who is who if you just use their names. Thank You!)

It shows who won the game. If the both kings are in black it means the black player won. The same for white. If the game was a draw then you put a king in white and other in black.
