We visited the Kozel brewery about 30 mi outside of the city. Pretty cool tour, the guide was probably in his 80s & a really nice guy! And the beer was GREAT.
Prague is on top of my destination list after I come back from AUS. Such a beautiful city. Reminds me of a guy I dated once who was from the Czech Republic. Old painful Memories....
I literally just came back from Prague just now and wow!!! What an amazing city!!! I can recommend this to anyone.......I will certainly return their again some time.
Visited Prague (aka Praha) in february and by so far its one of most beautiful cities in the world.... Charles bridge, Hradčany, Old Town, Vyšehrad,.... everywhere you go its something else... I recomend Ceska kuchyne restaurant near souvenir marketplace in Mustek.... Also change your money in arab exchange office behind New Yorker in Mustek (so avoid to pay TAX).... Also when ur at Prague you should go to main bus station in Florenc and buy tickets to Karlovy Vari and go for 1 day trip... also great deal for like 12euro per person for 2 ways (by Student Agency yellow buses).... I was only 4 days in Prague.... i hope in few years i will go back for at least full week.... P.S. Metro is pretty cool, so you can buy a 3 day ticket and avoid taxi or so... and that way save some money.... 5* city
Great colors in this video. National museum is currently closed due to reconstruction so dont plan this one. It will be closed until June 2015. Closed is only the main building but the museum has many other building.
Prague is the best city in Europe. It has everything you will see or want in Western European cities like Stockholm, Oslo or Brussels but without the ridiculous prices.
Hope to go there very soon if my girl gets her mind made up so we can sort everything out tickets etc and have a nice week there second time round there would be beautiful ! ?
Did Czech's really build Prague? I know some of it was built by them but the architecture looks more Austrian/German. Since it was Austrian rule for hundreds of years I'm guessing they had a large influence over the city and it was their designs and funds that ultimately made it a reality.
Can someone answer one question? Why does Prague have all the caracteristics of an European Capital (palaces, big avenues, great arquitecture)? I mean, in the 19th century Prague was not a capital of an State, why is Prague like Vienna, París, Rome?
I'd love to visit but not sure if its very safe. I heard in 1998 there were 4 telephone workers kidnapped and beheaded by gangsters. Also a lot of the jihadists in Syria and Iraq come from Czech Republic. I hope its better now because I'd love to see the place but I don't know how safe I'd feel?
