Awesome shooting. I just picked up a savage 340E in 222, it's got a nikon prostaff 3x9-40 scope on it. Tons of fun!! Someday I'd love to give dogging a try!!
Nice shooting. I’ve got my Grandfather’s Springfield/Savage 840 in .222 Remi, and I reload for it. Might have to try these bullets the next time I reload some. No prairie dogs around here, but it’s lethal on their groundhog cousins.
Well he designed it top notch, It has served me well for a touch over 50 years. Not the most expensive rig I own, but one that will be with me till the very end.
@@cavedweller1959 If you are familiar with Herter's sales spiels in their catalogs from the '60's and '70's, you'll recognize their line of um... BS that could be found in virtually every item they sold in the catalog. I think GLH claimed to have invented most everything they sold. Some of it was actually quite good.
Cave Man, you are fortunate to have access to towns full of the prairie dog rat. Please consider taking us to the next level and split screen shot us. Love the awesome vapor trail HD footage but would really like to see what you see through your optic....hold wise for wind & elevation. Thank you for your time and effort.
That takes a whole new batch of optics & equipment, with U-Ts demonetization of evil firearms channels, I really don,t see it happening. I do think it would be a whole new kind of fun if I could make it pay for itself.
Central South Dakota. But it could be ND, NE, MT, WY, UT, CO, KS. And that's just black tail P-Dawgs. Go south west of these areas and you have white tail dawgs.
When i was sixteen i had to sit out with a shot gun to shoot foxes then the head gamekeeper allowed me to buy a rifle but nothing bigger than a 222, just to learn with. Then i up gunned to a 22-250. I'm nearly 50 now and bought myself a brand new 222 sako and it's fantastic
I have a Remington 700 in .222 mag but ammo is so hard to get a hold of and what’s out there is so expensive I can’t afford to be shooting like that , but what I have I’m saving for some deer shots
I have a 722 in triple duce. I have not shot anything but 50 grain sp. I am gonna have to pick up a box, and load. I'll see what I can come up with with 748, and 2230. Any primer you prefer?
I thought you only shot dogs as a favor to farmers/ranchers. This video looks like it was shot on public lands. Oops, just saw the cows. Guess it is on someone's land?
