I mentioned this a while ago and people got mad. What I mentioned was, what's the point of guys like Glenn Gibson Jr., Quennel Gaskin, Jesus Molina etc. having incredible music chops only for them to play in church making $500 - $700 a week which is one of their main sources of income? I said they're not becoming millionaires off of their incredible music gifts.
That's incorrect im not half as good as those guys and I make 1000k a week so your math is way off. Those guys at that level get salery plus..and you can't buy experience. And their environment is a lot less stressful as far as worldly matters are concerned
People are still in their feelings about my comment regarding truly gifted musicians like Glenn Gibson Jr., Quennel Gaskins, Jesus Molina etc. still playing in church. Playing in church for truly gifted musicians is an insult as it's a starting ground. Not a finishing ground. Great singers come out of the church and become famous and wealthy Gospel, R&B and Soul artists so why not great musicians like Glenn? Your musical gifts are suppose to elevate you and bring you wealth and financial stability. Playing in church doesn't offer you that. Black churches don't offer musicians 401ks, pension plans, vacation, dental, promotions, time and a half etc. It's a once a week low paying job. It's not a career. Glenn needs to STOP PLAYING IN CHURCH, and produce his own projects. Since you dudes are so amazed by him...then download and support his music and shut up. That way, he won't have to play in church.
@@bigdenver7325 He has to make those decisions for his life and career. Hey, my sister is an amazing singer who's sang in church and who sings when she's requested but she doesn't sing professionally as a career. She's never been signed to a record deal, never had a music manager, never been on tour, because she got married, had kids and moved to a part of the country that has nothing to do with showbusiness. Now it's too late for her. Just because you're talented and musically gifted doesn't mean that you're going to blow up and become a huge star but you can. If Glenn don't get his act together and put together a music project soon and meet the right people, he's going to end up like my sister. Time is ticking. Tik Tok.
@@sebastianchristopher9461 Oh. It just seemed like you were concerned about him (and others, of course). I thought if they actually talked WITH YOU then maybe you could show them the error of their ways instead of talking about them here on RU-vid.
