I know the struggle girl! I didn't realize either until i saw i looked orange in some foundations that claimed to be golden. I have the NYX foundation actually but I just have not gotten around to trying it. How do you like it? I have the shades Mocha and Mahogany.

@@RitaOkolo I would try the mocha 1st...chile i tried all of them in my shade range and I know the chicks at Ulta was sick of me and my returns...lol..the foundation was a perfect match BUT when I touched my face it had that makeup feel unlike when you have fenty on which feels like your skin...I was trying to breakup with fenty I just didnt want to keep mixing...but not no more!! I absolutely love fenty.. love your video...I subscribed!! You told no lies about these brands and thinking this is a trend...I dont get how for soooo many decades they could never get undertones correct..THANK GOD FOR RIRI!!

Dawn C thanks for the advice! I definitely want to try it especially since so many people said it lasts all day. Yes! I loved the Fenty foundation but was hella salty that I had to keep mixing it! I didn’t even touch the foundations all of 2018 except to use on clients. So happy I have my shade now ❤️ thank you for joining the fam! I hope more of these brands become aware of this issue because it is really tiring. Clearly we don’t all have red undertones LOL

@@RitaOkolo yeah the nyx definitely lasts all day and you stay matte not flat! My tzone is an oil slick..Lmao it's now my weekend makeup and fenty is my daily!! Another good fenty product is the invisamatte...I think that's what called..definitely helps the oils but just dont drop it like I did 🤬 it will break and crumble

Coils of Love yes I understand what you mean. It looks like a warm olive so it gives a golden hue. I’m just happy they have some type of olive shade now lol

What Fenty setting powders do you use with that shade foundation?

@@cakepudding3220 So I actually found out that I have warm golden undertones so 430 is my foundation shade. I use Nutmeg for set my entire face because it’s my flesh tone color but, I use Honey in the areas where I highlight.

@@JessicaCTiller I was tested in store by a black women who said I was 430 with yellow and red undertones. And 450 is my summer shade. She told me to use honey and coffee as setting powders. However 430 looks orange on me (giving me throwback maybelline matte mouse cocoa vibes😂). And I don’t know to trust Mua’s in store now. I have yellow/golden chest and inner wrist is yellow/golden with green veins so not sure if I should try 445?? My face is “darker” than my body…

@@cakepudding3220 I can totally relate though because the first time I swatched 430 I thought it was too orange as well because I was swatching it on the back of my hand which is darker than my face and my chest but, it oxidizes and gets darker once it dries down and it’s actually the perfect match for me. When you shade match yourself you want to match the foundation to your chest area or your neck so that you can bring that one color up and everything be uniform. My face is slightly darker than my chest in certain areas due to hyperpigmentation (birthmarks) but when I apply 430 it matches just right. If you have warm golden undertones and green veins then it’s definitely your color for Fenty. The only other shades I know in the collection that have warm golden undertones is 460 and 410 but, 410 is too light for me to use as foundation. I only use the concealer in that shade to highlight. 460 (Concealer) matches me just as well as 430. It’s only slightly darker. However, the 460 foundation shade is a completely different shade from the concealer and it has different undertone which I don’t understand. Lol I’ve tried 420 and 445 and they both have an olive undertone which leaves a very unflattering green cast on me 😂😂😂 I’ve also tried 440 (Way too red) and 450 (2 shades darker than my face and my body). As far as the setting powder. Nutmeg doesn’t really give me a brightened look on my under eye because it matches my exact complexion. I’ve even worn it as a powder before without foundation underneath just concealer and primer (learned this from Jackie Aina on RU-vid) for a “no makeup” makeup look. That’s why I use honey as well. Honey is similar to the 410 shade I use for my under eye and other highlighted areas. I’d probably never use it to set my entire face because it might give off a very stalk and ghostly look on me. The coffee shade is a bit too dark for me. I’d probably use that shade to set my contour.

@@JessicaCTiller Ok. Yeah the coffee setting powder was for contouring. Not setting my overall face. Maybe I should give the MUA who matched me the benefit of the doubt then. I am kinda new to makeup and due to not wearing it much when I put the 430 foundation on again I felt like it looked orange and thought I could have been matched wrong and comparing people on yt to saying it’s there skin in a bottle I was starting to doubt my shade match. So if I use primer, 430 foundation and use 370 to highlight and honey to set, contour with 498 concealer and set with coffee and use nutmeg to balance my colour in it should look ok right? X
