the pedal reed sounds really nice, purrs nicely

Just lovely. An example of maintaining, conserving, advancing, protecting and elevating dignity, decorum, decency, good order, and gravity in divine worship befitting Divine and Trinitarian Majesty. Perhaps not Lent 5, but looking beyond that. Not quite like the "Great Duchess" at St. Paul's where we go, in a league all of its own, but this is in the same genre of dignity, propriety and decency. Many thanks for being a part of that and posting this goodly performance. (On my end, my perpetual cue to drummers and strummers, the one-way exit is aft of the sanctuary. Please use it.)

The organ is by E.Jardine - Smith of Manchester 1936. He worked for Jardine & Co some forty years earlier being a co - proprietor when he left. He set up his own organ building buisiness in 1933 and ceased trading around 1939 prior to world war two. Since he had a small output English Martyrs Organ is a rare example of his work (only two other organs of his recorded at present).

Lovely balance between the 8' & 4' diapasons on the Great. Even when the fifteenth comes in the whole chorus just gels. Too many organs have the 4' over voiced IMO. Really like this. Thanks.

Glad you like it - its a full length metal Bombarde from redundant church - Wadsworth c 1915 installed last summer (replacing a fat toned Trombone) Swell Dulciana III mixture - Jardine c 1918 due after Easter.
